And people still didn’t get quest completion while in a raid. That was working as intended.
The raid part sorry to say but there are 10 man dungeons also and people get xp in them (see blackrock spire).
And again if they didn’t investigate the values from beta and change it before launch you can’t blame the people that tested the beta for doing the same thing as in beta that didn’t got changed.
It was the meta and blizzard didn’t bother to investigate. Banning people because blizzard had the report but didn’t bother to do their job… People didn’t do it because they knew it was a bug and exploited it. People did it because they tested it in beta, blizzard didn’t change anything about it even after the reports so everybody assumed it was working as intended.
blizzard have re-introduced many bugs back into the game because they were there in Vanilla.
Yeah. Raid exp gains is not one of them. I’ll repeat for you: This was not a thing in actual vanilla.
So should peopple be banned for Blizzard themselves adding or leaving bugs when is come to Classic?
You should be punished for exploiting. Exploiting is purposefully taking advantage of a bug for unintended effects. For Classic, Blizzard intended for the return of many bugs. This one such bug returned from nothing; it was spawned anew. It’s not that complicated.
Yeah I literally didnt think much about it simply because it was on all the streams. (naive but thats what I did) Blizzard should have acted faster. I dont think you should act out and blame players for it.
I’ve seen this argument so many times before. Yes, 10 man UBRS was a thing, for clearance and loot.
What wasn’t a thing, is 10-man raid groups going to SM Cath for grinding exp. That is because entering SM Cath as a raid in vanilla will yield virtually 0 exp. This argument is so dishonest I can’t believe people will actually use it.
Rofl. Did you not choose to enter SM Cath in a raid group? Were you forced into it? Did the advert not specifically say ‘10 man raid spellcleave/meleecleave?’
If I’m reading this correctly from others here and that Apes ran 5 man dungeons then they didnt do anything wrong at all and should receive a huge apology from people accusing them of, well, everything they can think of. But also, someone said it in a previous post - how can anyone know what the correct xp from 15 years ago is?
I dont know what Apes have done to receive so much hate from other players
So someone discovered how to kill world boss during beta with one hit and blizzard didn’t fixed it yet during the launch, so that means anyone could use it?
Oh god, please choose a less dumb argument. Play the fool at least if you’re going to defend this. The idea that a bug slipped through doesn’t mean it’s not 100% your fault for exploiting it. There’s no way you can possibly blame beta for this, it’s ludicrous.
Can you say for certain blizzard knew that? That’s the point i’m making. No one is certain.
If blizzard themselves are uncertain about it (I say this based on that they never addressed it for 3 months while it was streamed to hundreds of thousands of people), imho they can’t start banning or rolling people back if they didn’t know themselves.
Overall i’m up for banning or timing out people who bug or exploit, I just feel with classic no one seems certain about what was a vanilla bug or not, even blizzard themselves.
I don’t concern myself with what other people do with their time. So they got to 60 quickly, and they downed Raggy and Onyxia - Big deal. I did that 15 years ago.
Then why have beta TESTING? Why not just deploy the new features live and ban people on live when they find and report them?
Right, so everytime a bug makes it to production, let’s just say sod it, make it a feature, let it destroy the meta? This is patently absurd.
You’re 100% right that this should’ve been spotted on Beta. It’s a shame that it wasn’t, and that’s on Blizzard. What isn’t on Blizzard is you exploiting it. Your argument is: I will exploit because I can, and I am not responsible for doing so because bugs shouldn’t be in production.
Can you say for certain blizzard knew that? That’s the point i’m making. No one is certain.
Not quite sure what specifically you mean here. Blizzard knowing about the exp bug? Clearly they didn’t or it’d have been squashed in beta. The players absolutely should know that.
