They aoe farmed dungeons with 6 or more players, the experience loss of adding extra players wasnāt implemented.
Somehow, people should automatically know exp rates from 15 years ago and report any differences in classic, or else you face the banhammer according to our forum knights.

If they correct by rolling characters back, to some it will be justice but to others it will be proof that they messed up āyet againā, or they might feel that this is just preferential treatment to make a specific guild look better. Hotfixing during leveling is one thing, making it longer, but now theyāre 60 and cannot continue to 65 to compensate, can they.
The most straightforward approach is to accept that the rules have been coded, and whoever got to 60 first did so by following those rules. 1st 60 used layers, 2nd 60 only missed 6 hours suggesting account sharing. Pretty much every speed running on Youtube involves some kind of exploiting: avoiding triggers, preventing AI doing something, moving yourself to a place where you shouldnāt be.
As for WoW, what about gold donations, loans, instead of looting and going back to a vendor whenever bags are full? Buying mount reduces travel timeā¦ Grouping up is arguably cheating, allowing you to overcome challenges faster, earlier. Taking a mob or chest slows down the next player by denying them the resource, too.
Well, I hope Blizzard will act, else Classic is already doomed.
Anyone remember D3 and how streamers abused exploits there in the first weeks? The AH was ruined and D3 never recovered from that and is a dead game today.
It is important to punish those that abuse bugs on purpose, it is important to not let anyone slip through, just because he is a streamer.
At least be consistent ā¦

Itās a PvP server. What is the problem? The game has Flight masters that spawn defence systems, designed specifically so that they can be taken over and controlled by enemy factions.
Do you just not like vanilla mate? I realise than in retail people jsut zone about every place with like 900 portals, buttons and 15 different hearthstones but in vanilla if you went to go to an FP and the enemy was there in something called a contested zone you either fought them for your factions honor or you tucked your tail and walked your backside 35 minutes across the open world to the nearest port town.
Itās called being a good game.

If theyāre banning for this, they can practically ban half of our Firemaw server because it seems like everyone was doing it, once word got out that it was efficient.
I personally havenāt though. I waited 10 years for Classic, Iām not gonna spend it doing just SM and ZF.

Since when did Apes grind 10 man dungeons? They grinded 5 man dungeons faster than method did 10 mans.
Thatās easy to do, next weeks on the other hand isnāt.
My thoughts on the whole cheating thing, these people knew it was an exploit and Blizzard have banned people for using exploits, I knew this existed but never used it. There should be a rollback of all the extra XP they got, not to a certain level but the XP only. If Blizzard can do that then they should. Along with any gold made during the runs.
Well im not sure about that but what I am sure about was it wasnt even much faster to do 10mans just easier.
When you do a 5 man, even though xp is split you get a 40% exp boost. That didnt happen even on the bugged exp with 6+ players, so the difference was small.
Fair enough. We will have to remove it from mostly everyone on Golemagg thatās above level 40 then. I must have seen thousands of people doing it over the last 3 days.
If Golemagg has say 150,000 people on it and iād place a ruff estimate of 80% of the ones lvl 55 now used this method then we are talking about banning thousands of people on Golemagg alone, 10ās of thousands. Multiply that by the rest of the servers world wide and we are at what?
400,000 players or so?

This is a bug thatās been here since beta, the reason it isnāt fixed is beacuse blizzard didnāt know the xp values themself, they lost some of the vanilla data, so finding out stuff like this takes time.
What would you do if they suddenly said the 310% mount was bugged, should everyone that used it Get banned in that case? Even tho the playerbase thought it was a part of the game?
I think all the mad people here is the players stuck at level -20, And is jealous at the streamers for dedicating their time to level. What a pityā¦

It is common knowledge that xp is minuscule in a raid. Did you not once think āHuh, this has never been tried before, ever? Surely this is a bug?ā. Iām sure people were tentative (hence a ban is extreme), but a rollback is hardly an insane ideaā¦
And apes clearly said on stream that the best group is: priest, mage, lock, warrior And pala. 5-mann.
They didnāt do anything Else than find out what gave the most xp, And did that.
Remember that xp values on retail And private servers are different, everyone just thought that this is what it was like in vanilla, so how would anyone know? Blizzard is clearly at fault here, not the playerbase so noone should be punishedā¦
