Aq40 gates should be scaling

Ok so ally completely gone novv. (according to ironforge.pro)
Id like to bump this post.

Is there any planned mergers or free character transfers coming to even out the server populations?

Flamelash is quite a funny server. Horde thought it was fun at the time to grief everyone to the point where it was unplaybale and now cry because TBC will released by the time they open the gates :joy: as the saying goes… reap what you sow

I would understand this reply if they were blaming the Alliance, but aren’t they right in blaming Blizzard considering it was Blizz’s decisions that screwed the server over? Asking people not to PvP on a PvP realm not to make the other faction flee makes no sense when the game’s rules reward the opposite behavior.

I’m not saying Blizz should’ve implemented faction queues or anything like that, but they probably should’ve kept server caps (all of them, in fact, not just Flamelash’s) below current values, and maybe NOT offer free transfers like they did. Not that the exodus wouldn’t have eventually happened either way, but it probably wouldn’t have been as abrupt and extreme as we’ve seen.

And YOU are some retard that got no clue that gates will open over time themselves before naxx comes out.

Bet You dont know that back in vanilla some servers never opened gates either… My first char was on one of those realms.

The Horde played the game. It isn’t their fault that the Alliance were a bunch of crybabies.

The same aggression happened on every other server. I’m on Firemaw, Horde were just as aggressive here. Know how the Alliance reacted? They formed co-ordinated groups and fought back.

Seeing Horde cry because they killed their own server still makes me smile.

Don’t exclude the horde from highly incentivized them to do so, Believe it or not that process would have been done but at slower rate. I can’t exclude Blizzard here either for the horrid launch of the game (way little servers to work with) but fairly speaking that would’ve been solved by you hordies even have we never seen those cross realm BGs.

I saw even hordes posting on their realm forum of either saying it will have no effect to making a mockery of those who are leaving.

Hahaha.

You think you do but you don’t.

Goto PvE server if you can’t handle PvP.

There’s no peace in PvP server.

And for op, just migrate. No point to stay on dead server. Goto Gehennas, Shazzrah, Mograine, whatever. They are healthy.

Quit, rerol, transfer, are in the game so Alliance also played the game as intended.

On topic, i don’t know if it is correct because i read it in the forums but the requirements to open the gates diminish over time. If not i agree with you they should do something.

Then it’s gonna be impossible for big servers to complete the event. Due to ‘‘potential supply’’ being identical on all the servers. True supply on being greater on large servers because resources nodes are picked up faster by the players thus less ‘‘spillage’’ to the respawn rate. The difference however is that on large servers, the demand is higher, and the relative demand is much much higher than it is on low pop servers.

Thus. While big servers can more quickly gather the required resources for the event. The demands of the players to actually use the resources for their day to day game play, is so much greater. That the players actually willing to complete the event will have a much harder time doing so.

I.e 500 willing players on a full pop realm, will farm far fewer resources than 250 willing players on a low pop realm in the same amount of time.

It makes me glad that there is at least some negative consequence for the faction that drove the other one to extinction. Even if that consequence is just waiting for AQ40 a month or two longer.
That being said, ultimately, Blizzard are the ones to blame for not implementing more effective measures to keep the server populations balanced. Nothing to be done now, you’ll get your AQ eventually.

Owwww all the ganking in phase two and the massive server imbalance made all the Alliance player go away. I though the Horde was ALL POWERFUL!!1!!ONE! You can open one tiny gate alone?

World PvP and taking the Michael are two different scenarios. I’m on Ashbringer and have been killed of flight path masters (Which I am not bothered about as its WPvP) But if you have a server that’s constantly sitting these places all day preventing people from doing anything at all, is a joke. And yeah its partially Blizzards fault but Horde are also to blame in my opinion.

Retard? lmao did I touch a nerve?

Horde players were just doing what the game rewarded them for doing. Asking players to politely refrain from doing something they get rewarded for just doesn’t work, especially when they themselves are competing against each other, and it only takes one freerider to ruin the entire deal.

Blizz is 100% to blame here.

Cannot agree with you on this one mate. Yes WPvP is whats supposed to be going on on PvP server. And yes, people shouldnt have had that elitist “only pvp servers are true WoW” attitude. And yes blizzard made almost unplayable overcrowded servers (ours is close to that too imo). But what happened on Flamelash, if stories are true, is beyond WPvP and past the line of playing the game as it s intended. Noone, while designing this game, intended that all flight masters of one faction are dead, and gank squads await every single lvl 48 plus as soon as he steps out of capital city.

A lot of things happening in Classic were probably not foreseen by developers. This doesn’t mean it’s reasonable to expect a factionwide agreement to refrain from doing so.

If Blizzard had kept populations at Vanilla-like levels, these “squads” wouldn’t have been as oppressive as they were. The way you go about it sounds like somebody accusing other herbalists of being responsible for the difficulty of finding harvestable nodes.

Imagine people didnt foresee this at all. And they pretend that they are just victims over something.

  1. PvP servers => player vs player, not… player helping player server.

  2. Everyone knew in advance how is honor system gonna start. In p2 start you COULD ONLY advance by killing enemy players bum. Yes this was end by mass murdering one of the faction. This possibly could be avoided by releasing BG-s at the same time, but #nochanges faction (mostly on alliance characters i saw this) were againts this, and blizz listened. Notes like “you should left alliance alone” greatest bullcrap in history.

  3. After watching how retail servers lost faction balance, didnt you foresee this what will happen? Some servers will be dominated by one of the factions.

  4. You chose PvP servers. And most of you are crying that xyz faction killing me.

This is the same bullcrap with retail warmode, where people crying cos they are getting rekted by the other faction.

Get a grip lol.
