Are They Out of Touch with The Community?

Get less the faster it is pushed out I think.
We can all fight for more but we all have different desires.
This game is not my creation or vision, I am just here to enjoy journey.

I don’t think it is a bad idea, story choices that are unique. I don’t expect perfect balance or make my gameplay choices based on what is currently in flavour.

I’m not type of player who rerolled BM hunter for superior numbers and easier time or to know I have best potential, I prefer game does not cater to this play choice.

p.s I will be unable to reply as I let my sub finish for the meanwhile. Farewell o/

Do you know the Pokemon series and how the games are delivered almost always in 2 versions with some differences.

It feels to me at least like if I need to pick Shadowlands: Kyrian version, Venthryr version etc.

There is a reason that it works in those pokemon games. They are too easy for the choice to matter(and they are also mainly single player games at the core).
WoW would need to lower its pinnacle difficulty to the point that people would find picking a covenant to be purely a matter of taste.

From the earliest versions of WoW, it is apparent that the player interactions are what makes or breaks the game so any system that makes them more unpleasant to each other is a bust for me.

Yes I agree on really hard content that has a competitive element to it. Like server firsts and gladiators. All those things that show that the person is has done something e-x-t-r-a-o-r-d-i-n-a-r-y!
What they did after MoP was to make initially semi-hard content that is trivialized by last few months of the expansion due to the power creep from the last content tier to the point where it turns into a freaking participation award and not some challenge.

If it is something that you see like 1 in 10-20 or more people having, then it is not worth removing because there is no prestige into it anymore, it becomes just a reminder that you missed out on something pretty only because you were not at the right place at the right time.
I proved that point by getting every single mage tower skin for every class. It is all about spending too much time at the last content patch.

Is it wrong to not want to be roped to spend more time than desired per expansion without missing out on not really hard (just time consuming) and not competitive cosmetic rewards?

I am not really trying to change your mind about this at this point btw. I am just trying to explain you how it makes me feel and why. You can argue that I should just stop caring about cosmetics, yes I am trying, but it is not as easy as turning a switch off.

so what youre saying is we are all playing the wrong game and we should all quit wow and let blizz play their vision of the game in a basement alone.

the current playerbase wanting everything now is an issue, but thats not what was posed here. the op’s question is why is there no date on prepatch, considering we have a release date for SL, AND that shadowlands seems to be in a very bad shape mechanics and bugs wise.

peoples concerns are that SL is going to be broke, but they are wanting SL cause BfA was so bad that they want to wash that bad taste out of their mouth.

Just the thought of that makes me grin

It’s much more difficult than that.

Maybe you are right. But there are a lot of people who tend to insist, and give good feedback… Here is a recent example (there were trolls, but there are people who care about it, and contribute properly):
" Your toughs on class/spec/talents/skills design: LONG TERM"

Sometimes, all we need to do, is not give up. None of us can control the outcome, but we can choose how we give feedback. But I do agree with you, there are very few people who explain the “why”… Anyway:

  • Maybe, one day we can make polls/vote in the forums;
  • a roadmap where all community could choose at least one feature; (instead of a mount…)
  • things are more transparent about “what is about to come” before they actually start coding
  • Foruns/posts from different languages are shared, so they actually get the desired attention

Baby steps… But I do agree, in a way, with you Mukuro
Just don’t give up
