Are we still denying that World of Warcraft is dying?

I just go with the fact that all have 2 or 3 alts at max level, on average. So slash the 4.5m 120s by 3 atleast, you’re already close to 1m and then you have to remove the inactive but subbed players, multi-boxxer accounts and non-subbed players. I would be suprised if EU even had 1.5m active players left.

The game is definitely not the same it was during Legion, many did leave during BFA, but many have returned with the current patch. The MAU metric did see a decline across all games during the last quarter so there was a decrease in players.

I think we will see more subs at the end of this month as classic drops and you will have to sub to have access to classic.

I think that patch 8.2 tried to rectify some of the core issues of BFA, but I have already started seeing the What to do next videos in patch 8.2, which is a worrying sign.

I would say the game in terms of quality is heavily in decline but people are starting to return, but not at a faster rate.

If bethic gear wasn’t OP (stronger than even 455s with sockets), I would would probally only raid log. It’s basicly get your daily rare kill for a chance on a mount. The dailies in Nazjatar are bare bones aswell, they didn’t make many and you generally get the same 3 per follower every day. And atleast one of them is plug the geysers most often, 1 day I had 3 exclamation points makers which were all geysers…

Exactly. Tetris has remained Tetris, and Tetris is great.

If WoW remains WoW, WoW is great.

Nobody said specifically EU or US. There is nothing to accept. And again, sources.

The simple answer would be yes. since WotLK.
The more complex answer would be yes but at least they are trying.
I have seen many MMO’s die because nothing was done to correct it.
So at least they are trying, just not always the best way

even if I will only one playing in this game I will keep playing. Why do you even are about whether its dying or not?

I don’t know i’m seeing a lot more people than there was just 2 months ago. Don’t know if it’s because people are checking out 8.2 before Classic or it’s the summer. But Bg queues are down , easier to find groups. Just generally seeing more people about.

Compared to how it performed, the game is ultra dead. The original audience is long gone, what’s left are people who are into hack and slash games.

your brain is dying

It depends on ur definition of dying.

  • tons of players are still playing and enjoying gameplay (compared to other mmos)
  • game is still getting new updates and interest from dev team
  • overall gameplay is superior compared to other mmos

… just by these few points, WoW isnt dying. Is it losing players ? Some may leave, others will join… ill say that its balanced.

they just complain they left game to play something else and they dont have enough players in that game so they started to complaing make ppl to leave wow and make ppl to play crap of game which they decide to play

And then we are left with people like you: Blizzard apologists. Or bots. One or the other.

same could be said about the game isnt dying?

most servers are so dead (then they got merged)

bg queue times are extremely long compared to in the past.

i wonder if there is areason other than $$$$$$$$$$ to why we get classic…

BG queues is like well how to say it, atleast Horde wins way more since nearly every serious PvP’er and PvE’er is now Horde (thanks racials you never wanted to balance untill it was too late Bliz!). Although Alliance has instant queues many quit due to bad the win ratio is, well atleast we have permament mercenary and honor bonus. But let’s be fair just the 25% WM bonus now you want it balanced. That’s fun and engaging. I’m utetrly sick of losing rares 24/7 unless I run around in a raid…

Bliz needs to undertake something, queues for both sides should be equal, well more or less. Same as the number of pugs in LFG, high end raiding guilds etc. But we have seen. M+ started 50/50 but then BE was op for Legion and… entire M+ teams switched Horde for their racial. Only fixed in pre-patch BfA when you guess it was already too late, again…

Now my money is on the side that claims they are want people to pay for their transfers not get them free. See the increase of 6-months subs. They know most people quit or quit very fast into their barebones patches nowadays. Or the amount of store mounts just this expansion alone. Found it funny, the Blizzard loyalist acts like FFXIV has way more store mount but when compared they bring out less store mounts and for a cheaper price! Also they aren’t 100% unique alot of the time.

LFR queue times for BoD atleast on Alliance I heard was easily 1 hour just a few weeks in. But hey the game is fine! It’s sad but the realm cluster I’m on consisting of 3 realms has a total of 200k 1-120 chars. So 66.5k chars each server then discount the inactives (110 or lower), alts, multibox accounts and 120 subbed but not activly playing.

I wanna see the real activity once, not the reported number of chars. Which count even chars which of accounts who maybe never played since Cata.

http://www.warcraftrealms.com/weeklyactivity.php?serverid=222

This is explaining alot.

They need to start merging servers.

For the PvP situation, instead of saying “We will make AI bots” they just need to say: “Roll Alliance if you want fast queues”. And maybe They will see having everybody dogpile 1 side isn’t a good idea. Atleast not for PvP.

I don’t find it matters what side you choose for BGs, my friend and I merc a lot and we don’t really notice any difference. We have won plenty as Alliance. The exception is Ashran which seems harder to win but we have done. The biggest problem is it’s so longwinded and a horrible battle.

I don’t see how the racials for PvP are lacking on the Alliance tbh.

The only good we had was EMFH, but people complained and complained… For PvE we had 0 racials! Blizzard should ahve acted on racials all the way back in WotLK. But they just it fester and fester, guilds switch due to racials (Method at the end of Cata), eh… Although Horde has instant LFG group they now have long queues for PvP content, meanwhile it’s the reverse for Alliance.

Bla bla bla, this stupid topic will change nothing… we all know what are flaws of this game so now s.t.f.u and have fun or leave. Ty
