Hey don’t insult MOBAs like that. At least there they manage to make tanks useful and it makes you play for a macro objective rather than go kill eachother.
I’d say battlegrounds are much closer to MOBAs than arena is.
Lot of player played those back in time (with isometric 2d and bad 3d)and in 2020 whit all the technical upgrades focusing on arenas is a mistake and the we it in how the core mmo players are focus or in hardcore pve games (pantheon) or pvp games where the focus is RvR like (Camelot unchained, Crowfall, New World) as future releases.
This is one of the few games on the market that you have a loading screen only when you change continents, you can travel from moonglafe to uldum with no loading screen. It’s a waste in raw pvp potential.
Arenas will never be removed, deal with it. Have a good day

Apparently is the opposite otherwise people will have not have interest in pve competitions and classic duels/wargames.
You can buy boosts in every type of content, how is this relevant to the topic?

1v1 isn’t balanced at all. Warriors are probably worst class for dueling in BfA. But ye, he couls be carried. But again, how is that relevant to this topic?

You know raids don’t work like that right? Enemy HP scale with amount of people on your raid.

All the tactics I’ve had to master to win random BGs and killing that undergeared mage in Drustvar. Arenas don’t even come close to that level of expertise required.

You’re inviting plenty of opportunity for people to feel spiteful towards you when you tell them how they should play their game, yes.
Considering how Arena 3s is a more established form of competitive gameplay within PvP than anything else this game has seen for +10 years, you also come off across as either ignorant or weirdly biased.
I do agree that other forms of competitive play should receive some love, such as RBGs, but realistically I don’t think it’s possible to balance it. If the meta switched to something like 5s or even 10vs10 (bgs) then you’d see some ridiculous metas pop op on a weekly basis as opposed to the seasonal shenanigans.

In order to maintain relative parity and/or fairness in structure of rewards between PvE and PvP, rated stuff is pretty necessary as the endgame, otherwise one would need to go back to the old honor system where you’d be encouraging people to play 12hr/day for months, which is unhealthy for people who wish to reach the apex in rewards through PvP.
Why? Because you don’t like it?

The reply was directed to the player that replied to me to remove raids becouse are instanced content and to make them open world.
That’s why I said that in a open world scenario you can brute force a raid boss while not in an instance.
How is the kneejerk reaction of wanting to remove raids any different from wanting to see rated PvP gone though? They’re essentially the same, instanced content that doesn’t build into the idea of an MMO, or whatever it is that arena supposedly doesn’t do.

I personally never liked Arena myself. I used to do it for weekly conquest cap and maybe a few Vicious saddles, but I never liked it enough to actually push rating or find a competitive team & use voice comms, etc. I find it incredibly dull paper-rock-scissors PvP and I much prefer RBGs/BGs, so I’m with the OP here.
Back when spirit was needed but now, do healers even go oom? o.O the regen is insane too, if they can CC and get some gap to get out of combat and drink, even for a few seconds…
