As boring as expected

It’s not complex or difficult at all, once you know how to play wow classic.
What’s great about classic is the journey. You feel the progress, the hardships and the ppl you meet and kill ( PvP). That’s is why classic is better than BFA. It brings out the RPG of an mmo.

Sure, never disagreed about that.

A bit unrelated to the topic, but I really wish that RPG aspect got brought back to the retail game.
Certainly the RPG element is missing big time in modern WoW, where Classic is indeed exceling in it instead…and it’s what makes people happy to play it, regardless of ‘classes’ and how they play.
The pace is slow, some may or may not like it, but it is indeed a lot more immersive than the retail.

The thing with me is that I just can’t go back ‘in the past’ and I really can’t play with outdated graphics and races I am no longer tied to. I miss transmog and making my character look decent, as with the right race and transmog I get to enjoy the game a lot more.
I won’t play Classic, but I sure as heck wish Retail focused more on adding RPG elements and some amount of difficulty without making absolutely everything trivial and grindy. There’s a lot more to games than ‘fighting’ and ‘grinding’ and Classic offers the freedom of playing how we want.

Just my two cents here, I am not intending to bash anything as we all play and love WoW and I love both Classic and Retail.

I put as much thought into Classic as is needed to succeed. If you do not want to put in thought, then I guess, BfA is the better option for you.

I dont even need to put so much thought. You overanalyze things. Mobs arent that hard

Ah! Well, those who did say it, that’s it’s difficult and all, had an experience of the vanilla version which is to say…they were noobs back then.

So, it’s fun if you make it. But I digress, if you don’t enjoy then don’t play it. It’s a very slow game. I do get bored as well. As, I have changed classes frequently more than I can count and I found the class that suits my playstyle for classic is Warlock.
So, try finding a class that suits you, best. Then you may love it more than BFA…
There is a reason ppl say it’s great because it is…

I am enjoying it piecemeal myself. Classic is better in some ways, retail is better in others. They both have their faults and their points of pride.

I imagine once I get over the initial nostalgia I’ll probably log in less (at least until pvp is fully implemented) but I’ve been having a good time with it so far. Does make me appreciate all the QoL changes a little more when I switch back over to modern WoW though, which is probably a bit more suited to the times we live in today tbh.

I imagine in a less than a year only the hardcore raider people will be left logging in regularly but you know what? That’s fine. It has already succeeded in its intended goal of giving the people what they wanted.

And then you still get killed by a random respawning mob like it happened to me often. Yea… No. I put the same thought into both versions of the game during leveling, I would say.

See that’s the thing. You can actually have challenging content outside of raids, absolutely disgusting right.

You know, what’s disappointing?!
Retail could have been far better than classic but it’s direction is affected by lack of foresight or motivation from ppl that run the show.

True. Removing lfg and changing talents. The ones we have now are boring. And shamans get the totems back. I would love that

BFA might not be two keys but it sure as hell is boring, there is literally no challenge in lvling (since I assume that’s what you are talking about when you mention lvl 4p and two button spamming). You can pull endless mobs and just button mash you way through, I have 22 hours played now on Classic and I’m lvl 23, if it would have been retail I would have been max lvl.

And if you are gonna go ahead and say “This is not what I’m talking about, read my first post” then maybe you should try and explain better what you want answered since everyone seem to misinterpret your question…

I never played vanilla in retail only in private server and i only started at tbc. Let me tell you why i like classic more then bfa

  1. You actually have to buy spells to learn them
    2 class specific quests
    3 no lfg and lfr
4 no flying ( dont get me wrong i like flying in bfa)
5 people actually taking to each other traiding and helping each other not like in bfa you group up and dont speak and when someone talks almost all the time iš get gut scrub omg noob
    6 NO BOOSTERS
7 no titanforge or radom drop
8 you feal that you are geting stronger
    9 old talent trees
  2. Mobs can kill you you cant pull 4-5 Mobs and still be at full HP elite Mobs feals like Elite.
    Etc.
Blizard forgot what mmorpg means its night and day. They say people dont like slow paste games. Pff look how many people trying to play look how many wow Servers they opened since release. I hope blizzard will see and fix there retail.
    Sry for broken english.
Oh i forgot to add you actually need to buy weapon skill to use those weapons and level them

Well if I were to put my naively positive glasses on I might say Activision/Blizzard will use WoW Classic to maybe learn a few things about what their playerbase wants from current WoW. They certainly have been given plenty of incentive to do so in recent months…

Whether they actually will learn anything remains to be seen, but one can hope.

It’s useless to try to tell someone something they don’t want to hear.

Rich from bfa scrub… you don’t even need brain to play it.

Lol, learn to play.

You learn first… gonna take a while for such soy boy.
Bet you are vegan too

What’s with Classic people bashing BFA people? XD I mean until just a few days ago you too played BFA.
People who played BFA are now also playing Classic…I don’t get it. Seems community really needs to be toxic over something.

Not all the community. Just some autistic people.
