I doubt he cares about money anymore. He still lives in his mom’s house and eats fast food every day. Also he doesn’t have a girlfriend.
I mean he is taking care of his mother that is why he is living with her, and im pretty sure he is humble guy outside of his twitch fake public persona. And having Gf does not mean anything, I never want to have GF either, as i see no benefit in relationship from my subjecitve point of view. And he has like 3M networth it is impressive sure but america is very expensive country so im pretty sure ha wants to keep his streaming atleast for few years.
He’s modest with spending money not because he’s humble but because nothing else interests him and he wants to live like a teenager at 30. No sports, no travel, no other hobbies, no clubbing.

The best part about threads about Asmon is seeing all the envious people mad about him being able to play video games for a living then trying to pretend that they’re not mad because they’re more mature than him.
He’s having fun being able to do what he loves, gets paid very well for it, and is able to take any time off he wants with no worries. It’s everyone’s dream. Don’t hate because he achieved it and you haven’t.

You’ve got no idea what people have achieved in this thread or what their goals are. You could be talking to someone who’s on top of the world with a wife and kids and has their dream job. How do you know exactly?
I could do all the things you mentioned with my time in wow. Actually read the issues some people have mentioned in the thread and see what their problem is. There is genuine constructive criticism about the toxicity that spawns from him doing his thing online.
You’re talking to someone who works online with his idols from childhood while getting to play games all day if I want to. That’s a long story I won’t get into. However you’ve already guessed that I’m this jealous person who hates my life just because I dislike his toxicity and some of the stuff he’s caused?

I’m a massive Kanye west fan, Been following him since before he got big. Even before his first major album release. His mum died and he started being rude to people and doing some questionable things and people started complaining about him, people that’s not even properly listened to his music. He was being toxic at times. When someone talks about the toxic things he has done I don’t put my finger in my ears and pretend they didn’t happen or claim people are just jealous.

i have to say in response to that…
being a streamer is fine… its a good living can be demanding if you havent got the right mindset for it…
but poor poor ol asmongold… stuck playing wow for the foreseeable future because that is where his only market is.
i personally would hate being a streamer for a living if it meant i was stuck playing mainly one game for multiple years.
if i was him i would go outside the box and use his test of FF14 to bounce onto other games which isnt world of warcraft… and finally break his ties with the game .
he must hate wow by now irl.

I wouldn’t place so much emphasis on thinking that people are envious of him. I neither like or dislike Asmongold but I don’t envy the lifestyle that he has. I’ve lived that lifestyle in the past minus the twitch presence and the large amount of money, it really isn’t anything to envy/look up to or even a healthy lifestyle to lead.
That’s great that he’s having fun with it while getting paid well, however it certainly isn’t something everyone dreams of. Ignoring the fanbase and the money he makes, I’m failing to see what the actual achievements are.
So you didn’t live that lifestyle.

I mean in that case, I used to live the lifestyle of a movie star when I was a kid because I used to play pretend. Minus the money, fame, and power, of course. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The very fact “influencer” is a thing just shows how ludicrous modern society has become if it needs some complete stranger who has a “content creation channel” (he doesn’t create anything, he just reacts to someone else’s creation) to help make up their mind for them and they slavishly follow him everywhere.
