Not me Shaun. I have nothing to be envious of from a person who resorts to encouraging his sycophants to /spit on complete strangers.
Good for him. By a remarkable coincidence so do I as a gardener.
Only difference is I don’t feel the need to have a “content creation channel” and encourage people who may happen to stumble across it to spit on their neighbour’s garden if they happen to have hybrid tea roses instead of dahlias.

No one if they were being honest hates him because he’s made a few beans off his chosen profession.
What we DO hate, or to be less dramatic and more honestly, dislike him for, is his barefaced hypocrisy, his absolute contempt for other people who he has an issue with, and I personally loathe him for the /spit vendetta which should have earned him a very heavy censure from both Blizzard and his medium.
And if anyone followed his instructions and actually did do that.

It is very good for him. I never said we should worship him, so I don’t really need to answer the rest of what you said and I feel like you are misinterpreting why I pointed out that he is making money.

Agree with those influencing in the past usually had some actual talent connected with it. In the past it was people like actors/singers/writers and maybe some others and nowadays its people who got popular on Tiktok/Youtube/Instagram etc.
Unfortunately influencing regardless of talent or not has resulted into a lot of negative experiences/poor purchases for those who follow these people.

If you actually read the thread and didn’t just jump on the “you’re jealous” argument, You would see all your points were actually counter argued so many times. All the Asmongold defenders couldn’t answer them .
However you claim you are unwilling to read replies, So I don’t get why you’re even bothering writing what someone else wrote if you don’t want to read replies?

Sure, another WoW killer 
WoW will be here in next 10 years, while Square won’t support FF14 that long, this game will end same as FF11. FF14 is not that important for Square, as WoW is for Blizz. Also it’s not the same Square as it was in the past. Not without Hironobu Sakaguchi. Every modern game they do is a fail. They’re rebuilding every game. Once they’ll refund the costs they put in FF14 years ago, they’ll put this game into maintenance mode.
All that FF14 hype is very templorary, endgame of this game is very poor.
This game is all about story and raids.
While in WoW except story and raids there are m+, arenas, and bg’s.
So there’s not enough content in FF14 for content creators to stream it regularly, as it is in WoW.
Also there’s no pro scene in FF14. No esports.
There is lots and lots of people who play mmos for the story. I hate m+, arenas and bgs. Yet I play Wow.
Edit: FF does have pvp. Don’t know why people keep saying it doesn’t, No idea if it’s good or not but a quote from Google.

People who plays mmorpg for story already plays this one which story is taking a place in their favourite universe.
In this aspect there are no better / worse games. It’s all subjective. It’s just a matter of taste. For example ESO has some brilliant story (looking objectively) but I don’t play it because their universe is not something that is intresting for me. I don’t like ESO races and their world is neutral for me. So they can even update their story everyday with huge patch and it won’t change anything for me. Because I don’t care.
The only place those mmo’s can actually compete with eachothers, is endgame content.

I played FF14 for few months before I moved to WoW. I love all FF’s from 1 to 6, but 14 is not for me.
Read my edit. Final fantasy pretty much has Arena and BG, I googled it.
Do you realise how big of a fan base Final fantasy universe has? It has 15 different stand alone games (not including spin offs) for a reason. It’s 100% up there with warcraft on a fanbase level.
I know. I played every FF from 1 to 6 (each one for a couple of times).
I played 14 for few months but this is not what I like actually. When I saw cars driving around it totally killed my immersion. I prefer WoW.
If it comes to PvP in FF14… Literally noone plays it there.
Which one’s your fav? 5 for me, but 4 is great too. 7 and 9 are also great, but the series went downhill from there.

All from 1 to 6 are brilliant for me, but if I had to choose then 6 probably. I know 7 and 9 are very good too but I never had a chance to play them. However I’ll definitely change it in the future.
I’ve got same feelings about newer FF’s actually. Totally not my cup of tea.

Oh but I have… I too get to have fun doing what I love, I want for nothing, and I choose my own working hours. You say he’s just ‘putting on a character’? Oh man, he’d faint if he had to put on characters the way I do for my chosen living. He only has to put on one character, that of an insufferable egotist with unpleasant followers… Now imagine trying to narrate a conversation for an Audiobook between a man from Cork, a man from Belfast, a Yorkshireman and an Aussie, without a break or pause. That lad don’t know he was born…
So yes, I am in a perfect position to be able to criticise him without a whiff of jealousy, but rather based on his merits and deeds alone. I also have all my own hair still despite being older than him, though in fairness that is an accident of genetics, and not a personal achievement I made myself, so I’m not baldshaming…
But does that mean on net average that I am more successful than him? How about the Romantic aspect, I’m probably doing better, owning a House? I’m doing better. Diet? It definately looks like I’m doing better. Career prospects? I’ve got a six book contract to record, that’s at least eight or nine years confirmed work, and then I generate Royalties, that will continue for the rest of my entire life, and will only increase, as more and more people use Audiobooks than hard copy books. Does that mean I’m doing better than him? Is that more Successful?
So never make silly claims like “You’re jealous of him” because that man has absolutely nothing I want, and I have things that he doesn’t, that I bet he wishes he had.

How short do they make that sentence before you stop reading? Because some very famous published authors have written very long sentences indeed, and been paid handsomely for doing so, far more than just 130 words, oh yes indeed, far more.
Is there a word limit, a top end figure beyond which TL:DR; kicks in?
To be honest. This. That’s why a lot of people who RP just don’t feel Content Drought, because unlike these Streamers who are called ‘Content Creators’ when they are most assuredly not, Roleplayers will actually create their own content, and they will enjoy it, Because this is an MMORPG, not just an MMO, and if you remember those last three letters of the acronym, and give it a go, you will never suffer Content Drought in an expansion again, I guarantee you. But that Dwarf poster there? They have the wisdom of the matter.

That’s just his character! The actor who plays the character likes to sit in his garden under a tree and talk in a more calm voice than Asmongold. He doesn’t control the characters actions that affect other people. You didn’t know?

What I find funny is what I just did is the defence from his fans, Including snowflake, jealous, triggered. I could do a better job at defending him than his own fans.
I’ll help you Asmongold defenders. I assumed at some point someone in his position has done stuff for charity.
So while writing this post I typed into Google “Asmongold charity” and it turns out he has helped raise over $1million in revenue for good causes. He has touched more peoples lifes in a good way than I ever could. If you used that point against me I would have agreed with you and so would most of the people who don’t like him.
The fact his own fans didn’t even think of making a point like that makes me think they just like the toxic stuff we’re talking about disliking him for.
You could argue his toxic manner and annoying fans are worth it if that money saved some kid or person suffering from mental health in some way.
There I did your job for you. I’ll counter argue with myself and say that he should act like that in a regular basis and stop causing issues then he would be more liked. It doesn’t change the toxic levels that come from his viewers and himself.
