Yes, I think you have entirely the wrong idea why people find this all hilarious. I don’t give a monkey’s what a balding American, is he American? He probably is, does, my objection here, or rather the source of my mockery, is the fact that some Doomsayer went “Whooo noooo, Asmongold is playing Final Fantasy 14, Ooooh, this is a portent of doom”

And the (sensible) initial response from everyone was best paraphrased as “So what, a balding American who lives off junkfood is doing a different game? Good for him?”

And that would have been the end of it. But then the crack commando team of Asmon-Defenders come riding into the Thread. “It’s vitally important because of this! He’s a Content Creator! You’re just Jealous! Why do You all hate Asmon! Leave Asmon Alone!!!”

I don’t give a monkeys if he plays FF14. I’ll be glad to see the back of him if he does take all his drones with him for good, they’re a hateful bunch in general. Not sure how that is ‘getting rekt’ by his existence. I mean he’s a bit silly, but then so is the character ‘Mr Bean’ on TV. I do not consider myself ‘rekt’ by Rowan Atkinson, as a result.

Yeah, you know if someone gets a review, and 9 people out of 10, say that they are rubbish, then that doesn’t mean those 9 people think that they are brilliant, right? That isn’t how it works…

That -is- what his fans here are doing though. I mean that is literally what this thread has been like. “American Streamer decides to give FF14 a try” (I mean, that’s not what the actual title was, which incorrectly says he is -switching- to FF14, which even he said was not the case)
People go “Ok…”
Then fans start to clamber in “No, That’s really important, because…”
People go “Is it though?”
So his fans at this point are defending a stance that even their favourite Streamer was not taking. “Well why do you not like him?”
“Because he did X, Y and Z”
At which point it shifts to “You’re just jealous!”
This too then gets debunked.

It’s getting a bit cultish at this point. His fans are -desperate- for us to know that this is surely the death of WoW (Which it won’t be) and they can’t stand it when people don’t follow that view, because let us be honest here, this was just another generic WoW bashing thread, started by someone with a history of starting WoW bashing threads, and even misquoting the guy in question!
Surely if they were actually fans of the guy, they would be “Err, that’s not actually what he said”

Oh he undoubtedly does. It is a bit embarrassing for modern society that so much slavish attention to their doings is deemed so important, but hey, we live in a world where people are ‘famous’ just for being ‘famous’ (Looking at you Kardashians) but we know what will happen, which I stated earlier. He will go there and try it out, the drones will follow, and act as they always do, which means they will get banned, he will notice this, and come crawling back, tail between his legs.
Why could he not just have like, you know, given Final Fantasy XIV a go? Not made a big thing about it, just like, done it, and -then- streamed about it. He’s still going to have the same audience, these people pay to watch him do his stunned kitten look.
Because he wanted his fans to follow him. Why? Because he knows they will get kicked out because of the same antics they carried out when sent to mess with WoW servers, which then means…
Quelle Surprise! He can make a stream about how bad FF14 is, and generate more money from his followers. I mean it does have a certain cunning to it, but he’s not really contributing to anything is he?

I think we have had this discussion before, where even though it is not my duty to do so, I had to educate you as to what an essay is, and the typical length of an essay, and what an essay was.

Well, yes, I suppose I did, I mean I know you’re wrong, because you have ignored any post -anyone- has made, giving reasons why they feel the way they do about this scenario, and instead constructed your own little fantasy world about why people don’t like Daddy Streamer, and not actually responded in an adult, or even coherent fashion.

Do you need a reminder as to the definition of an ‘essay’? I mean it was only a few days ago, have you forgotten already? Do you want to have a pen and paper ready so that you can make notes and remember it this time?

As for it being my life, it just amuses me, in between other things, to debate against what I see as foolish and slavish adherence to the bizarre cult of celebrity.
My life is much more weird than that, trust me. Fun, but weird.

There’s plenty of things which don’t fit this world at all and are a part of different ff’s. Like cars for example.

yes i never played FF in my life but wtf is this game ? there are modern cars , robots , dragons , pokemons mounts , animes .

like there is no theme , it’s just a bunch of everything with no sense , and FF community said they are more creative than WOW when it come to mounts lol .

game is so weird . Blizzard could be ‘’ creative ‘’ too and make randoms bullsxhit mounts , like introducing overwatch/starcraft things in WOW

I have a flying mouse mount in wow with fairy wings. Wow is even more random than Final fantasy when it comes to mounts imo, In the last few expansions at least.

I am playing Breakpoint. It is freaking awesome to actually play a game for fun for a change. I know I will get bored with Breakpoint eventually but then I will just find a new game out there. I have tried to come back to WOW a few times only to log in and find there is absolutely nothing that appeals to me in WOW anymore… The only thing I still like about WOW is PvP but gearing up is such a chore it sucks all the fun out of it. I might take interest in WOW2 but we know that will never happen. By the way the graphics and game mechanics of Breakpoint is just so WOW!
