It’s not like you can use a flying mount to avoid getting killed nor is it possible to talk with people while being dead.
Either way it is one week of a bit of a chaotic mess which is nice change.
You can basically level in any other expansion, join bg’s, run dungeons and raids.
Just Stormwind and Orgrimmar are crowded with zombies from time to time (which you can easily dispatch off).
With all the content still available I do think some of the posters here are over reacting.
I mean you can just avoid these problems by going to friggin’ idk The Exodar or pre-destruction Darnassus or Undercity using the Bronze Dragonflight NPC, where there won’t be any zombies around (ok maybe there will be in Undercity lol you know what I mean)
Actually, i am referring to the zombies in general, they are constantly RED, they are not ignoring my character, my recently created Hunter, being level 10 (Allied Race), they are level ?? (50), why not make them scale like everything else?? It wouldn’t be that bad then.
Oh no, I can’t idle in a faction capital because something actually interesting is happening there. Guess I can’t move my idling to one of the half dozen perfectly decent idling cities.
I mean its people like you which is the reason why this event is so watered down as it is, no offense. Theres a billion other places you can go to with auction house and bank access etc if you don’t want to participate in the pre-patch event.
The pre-patch already feels like garbage and they shouldn’t be acting off the loudest people, which happen to be the ones winging about a at most 2 week event. I’m sure you can live that long
Also stormwind as a hub caters to both warmode and non warmode, so no thanks.
Yes just because warmode exists doesn’t mean you should be exempt from a pre-patch event, as prior mentioned. If its really urking you that much, go to another city where they wont spawn at all. Cause from what I understand it should be more than easy enough to avoid participating in, they shouldn’t water down an event just cause a handful of people are disgusted of being killed afk or w/e.
The explanation at the end of the post is perhaps fine, but the post as a whole is pretty bad, the author spends a lot of time alienating the person he is replying to. 90% empty self-congratulating talk (‘I am so smart’), just 10% substance.
What I’m proposing is actually the opposite.
I’m proposing to let the ghouls run wild. No timers. No debuffing through portals. Go wild. Just ONLY IN WARMODE.
Wouldn’t that be miles better than what you’re getting now?!
I know I would like it much better. Now we BOTH aren’t happy with how this event is. While with my suggestion, we WOULD be.
I think it’s very substantive. The basic point is that, as an MMORPG, the activities of other players will affect your gameplay experience, and this is how it must be. Them having fun with zombies may mean you get inconvenienced with zombies. Them having fun ganking may mean you get ganked.
You can’t choose the world to fit you - it just evolves.
Of course it’s incumbent upon Blizzard to find the right balance, but I think they have. You can just leave the area with zombies and do whatever you need to do in another city. The inconvenience is extremely limited.
The problem (from the side of Blizzard) is that most of the people wouldn’t see zombies then.
I mean, I get what you are saying about being forced to have PVP on. Maybe they should have done it differently. But honestly, given that this is limited to Org / SW, it doesn’t seem like a big deal to me.
I am surprised that Blizzard has gone the enforced PvP flag route, but as no changes were made after it went live in the NA region yesterday I presume it’s working as intended. I understand it’s upsetting for those who don’t want to engage in any PvP.
I have not actually seen any impact from the zombies today at all but we’ll see what happens once we get to peak time.
