Which backs up what I’m telling you; the problem isn’t the map, it’s the players. Sharpen your spears instead of whining about somebody else’s spear.
I am sorry to have to say this, but this is what stupidity looks like.
And in this case, we don’t have a spear. They do, and it’s up to them how to use it.
AV Horde vs. Alliance is analogous to pistol-whipping a blind kid.
I don’t know, I’ve been on this board a long time and have definitely seen people more stupid then you. But I would definitely rate you at below average intelligence.
The map is THE EXACT SAME for us and the Russians.
Our Alliance get smashed. The Russian Alliance don’t.
The problem is clearly our Alliance, not the map. If the map was the only factor, the Russian and Asian Alliance would be getting smashed too.
This makes me wince really hard… I guess I’m just a bit too invested in this topic ^_^…
SOURCE?
/10chars
I would also like a source for this. Back when I still played AV we were always happy to see Russians on the opposing team, because it meant a free, fast and easy win.
At this point, the map disadvantage isn’t what makes Alliance lose games. The advantage Horde has can be overcome by superior tactics. This was very obvious back when it was still possible for Alliance to premade AV (an ability that was given to Alliance voluntarily by all the Horde players that chose racials over short queue times). Sadly the kind of players that would bother to lead their team to victory all got Exalted in week one of AV release. If the map had been balanced
Actually I might have a thought experiment that might help you understand this issue further.
Imagine there were a BG that is completely flat. 40 vs 40. Just plain ole’ Horde group vs. Alliance group fights.
Now imagine 80 people total being drafted from both factions to fight in the battleground.
Now you introduce an artificial queue time of let’s say 1 hour for the horde side for that BG.
Do you think that the horde will assume total domination like we see in AV in this new though experiment BG?
If you do, then why is it that we don’t see that kind of domination in WSG and AB?
If you admit that they would not achieve this domination, then don’t you think it’s fair to say that the only reason for that MUST. BE. THE. MAP?
Give this man ( kiddo ) new AV map .
Man you must have sad life crying all day in forum because of nothing.
Aliance players in AV are just bad, nothing else
Am I seriously being this unreasonable to you and many others?
I don’t want the Alliance to win all battlegrounds. There just has to be fairness. Is that too much to ask?
P.S. Thanks for advocating for the new map, I will take all the flak in exchange for that. That is of little importance to me personally.
And me and other players are unreasonable to you, when they say that we have just 101% motivation to win bg, where we wait 1hr ?
Aliance just suck, half group afk, half group sucking, but you still cry about map and cant take facts, end of story.
And for the record, on my bgs aliance dont dominate in wsg/ ab, they sucks too if they dont have premade.
Now you can cry me a river, because you just cant take facts, see ya
Okay. Perhaps you would like to come up with an answer to my thought experiment explained just a few posts above.
I would like to hear your thoughts on that.
Cant find it in pool of tears, sorry bud
Just as I thought. Classic example of willful ignorance.
Most alliance players afk or stay on hill of shame(sometimes including myself) because they know that you need a miracle to overcome the map imbalance, especially once you lose the SH GY which is almost inevitable because of the stupid map. For months, hundreds of times, they have tried and failed to succeed because of what’s above, now they stopped even trying.
It is a common situation called learned helplessness:
“Learned helplessness occurs when an individual continuously faces a negative, uncontrollable situation and stops trying to change their circumstances, even when they have the ability to do so. For example , a smoker may repeatedly try and fail to quit.”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Learned_helplessness
A hundred times this!
It appears that together we have reached the absolute core of the problem in a manner that no longer seems counterable for the horde players here. And that’s why we won’t be seeing any mounting defense against it.
The problem has always remained the same. But now it’s expressed in a way that is very hard to disprove.
Guys pls stop reply to that Nannu guy. Its 100% a troll. Just ignore him.
Touche.
but he is right… AV is broken for years
He’s the only one speaking sense a 50% win ratio should be aimed for.
All the imbalances and advantages have been discussed in forums for great lengths with no counter argument since they are none.
It’s just funny I smash horde in every bg and in wpvp except AV even when we try hard in AV with some rank 14 friends we still lose 70% of the time and I tell you not everyone was afk as horde claim as a healer I can see who is participating.
As for the the Russian AV arguement everyone knows that they can still premade because they use discord servers and small pool of players so it’s easy to premade you cannot compare that to complete pug with no comms.
I have seen loads of AVS where Allience have smashed the horde in PvP kills and still lose the bg because they can’t overcome the map.
If the map was switched I’m sure you would have horde crying about their win rate less than a week.
I enjoy Av but I refuse to queue up to that joke of a battleground anymore I suggest all Allience to do the same.
I’m trying to ignore you but you make it near impossible.
Seems to me you’re the one who doesn’t get it… I mean the map has little effect, meaning it has an impact but not nearly what you make it out to be. That’s it. Are you not saying that the map is the MAJOR reason? Wouldn’t that mean that if we switched bases the alliance should be getting these free wins?
Your analysis is based on one variable and you ignore every other variable. I’m sorry but your analysis is stupid and just wrong.
