My friend just got bullied out of this game for trying to do a quest without bothering anyone, she was not interfering, she was just there and did not steal any of their “quest items”.
Here is the chat screencap: (it was all that I was provided with while it was happening live during the incident, so please bear with me)

She was leveling in the starting zone trying to soak in how awesome this game is, and then that happened. Mind you, my friend is an incredibly kind and shy person, so seeing that was very heart breaking.
Please do not encourage this kind of behaviour and make sure to include the lone players that are struggling in quests. Thanks.
PS: This happened in a PVE server. Otherwise in my server 99% of the time, people are incredibly friendly and cooperative to finish the quest objectives.
PS 2.0: I understand that this is a issue that affects a small portion of population and I am fully aware to report and ignore. I was pointing out that emotionally vulnerable people that love WoW can react badly to harassment.

All we see here is one side of the story. How can you expect us to judge on this? Why do you even expect us to judge it?

Fixed that for you.
I do feel sorry for her, but just put them on ignore and game on.
These people are rare, but they exists… the do not represent the community.

We have all had to deal with this when we chose to play online games.
Get thicker skin, shrug it off, move on.

Report and move on.
People like that ain’t worth spending time and attention on.
First of all i don’t approve this kind of behaviour at all, but…
As people stated you can just report and/or ignore them. Note that those kind of people are rare like an epic world drop(without the “epic” part).
Also i would like to add that from my experience of years of WoW, i can say there’s way worse people judging from the picture…
Seem the bigger issue in this is her lack of confidence, I say that from experience, also known quite a few that had similar description of their personality, everything gets worse if you just choose to take crap. Sorry if I may sound like a victim blamer, and I understand you want to defend your friend in anyway you can and i commend that, but i don’t think you’ll get much of the response you might be looking for at the forums, sadly.

She should tank. Will shout at everyone and curse them after a while. Or break if weak.
Seeing many replies on this post, just shows that people are unable to be kind to one another especially to new players. Good to know
At least a few understand, you guys have my upvotes.

I hope your friend won‘t quit because of those bullies. There are a lot of people in this game who are friendly and help others.
Please report those b€&@€rds. People like this are bad for all Server communities.
Sorry. But I can‘t keep calm if I read stuff like this…

Thank you, I expected that a lot of forum users will be apathetic to this type of issue. But I wanted to spread some awareness that not everybody has “thick skin” and we have to protect the most vulnerable so they can forge positive memories in this game. As it gave to most of us.

You know World of Warcraft is rated T for Teen. It’s bad parenting if you let too young kids play it.

If hearing bad words is ruining the gaming experience, then perhaps games with real people in them aren’t for that person.
Not saying it’s ok to use language like that, not at all, but given how many people that play this or other online games, you are bound to come across players who lack that mental filter.
As I said: report, ignore and move on.

Hello Galander.
Most of us are aware of the report and ignore function. This isnt an excuse for the antisocial behaviour and ruining it for the rest of us. Especially for a game that has such a good reputation.
On a side note:
The game opens up once you come in contact with decent ppl, if your friend ever rolls a horde on dreadmist there’s room in the guild i’m in, nice active people. That’s all i can offer to help the situation, I don’t mind reroll a new char(i’m somewhat of an alt-junkie…first step is to admit) to help out.

It’s not apathy.
We have all gone through it.
You can’t police mean behaviour.
Just like in school and at work, there will be jerks, dealing with that is part of growing as a person.
We can’t create safety bubbles everywhere, because you would never mature.
