I’m an altoholic but the experience for fresh alts to 60 is filled with boosters everywhere sucking the game dry. Game services like this shouldn’t be in the game they muck up the economy and make new players experience awful. The game would be so much better with out boosting. I have been just adding boosters that spam lfg to ignore list and it fills up quick. If you are a booster shame on you for making the game bland and leveling experience pointless

So how much of a level do you get when you buy a boost for, let’s say the stockade at 20?
And if people want to level quicker then why not? Couldn’t one of their friends just do it for free?
Personally I think those mages would be doing the dungeons anyway just to get stuff to put on the AH as most boosters keep the greens that drop.

Boosting isn’t cool and definitely isn’t “authentic”. But people will do everything to cut corners.
On private servers, I believe, XP from elites was lower and was distributed differently. So boosting was few times slower and “not worth it”. Small difference with Classic, but lead to such major gameplay differences…
Really? a friend of mine boosted me many times in Classic (2005), I didn’t pay him gold for it either.

I can’t tell if you are talking about 2g boosts for the stockade or the MC/ZG more costly ones.
I did several time on my mage for randoms for free.
Mostly sfk for twink items and uldaman for recepie
Boosting is consequence for Blizzard locking servers. Nobody new is leveling on many servers outside people with 5-6 alts. You blame players for idiotic decisions made by blizzard.

or nerf aoe but not just mage aoe but other aoe abilities that have no limit.
On side note I will be decreasing my activity in wow classic. maybe play it once or twice a week until blizzard resolves against boosting which is destroying classic experience. I wont be playing retail either because I am not happy with gameplay either.

Nobody gives a crap about your leveling experience. I wouldn’t play with you even if I couldn’t boost. I’d find another way to power level my alts.

Being cold and telling people that they’re wrong and/or expressing themselves poorly isn’t “being a nob”. Without people being brutally honest, we just get a forum echochamber of the same few opinions:
“Boosting is bad”
“premades are bad”
“loot councils are bad”
“Literally doing anything with a group of people on an MMORPG is bad”.
We have facebook for that.

Boost it’s not that problematic as are the locked realms. Some will argue that the most lowbies are alts, but often they are playing with friends that are fresh players here, so they will want to do dungeons the “classic” way. And also, you can’t boost yourself 1 to 60 just in dungeons, you have to do a lot of questing too.
The only major impact boosting has is on SM where xp/level/gold is most profitable and you’ll have a hard time finding a group but for the most part of the game it’s somewhat the same as before.
And as I said before, many alts are created because they know they can buy boost to ease the leveling. Most of them don’t have the time nor the patience and they enjoy the end game better. I have a friend that was selling boost in ZG so he could stock up some gold, and most “customers” were at work in that time, just alt tabing for reset. And then you have people who may have time but don’t like leveling. You really wanna run dungeons with them even when they find no joy what so ever doing so? Let them buy boost.
I don’t think the blame lies on boosters. You’ll have to find something else to put the blame on.

Boosting helps mages and people with a 60, tons of gold, and were able to play wow since 2019. Great, lovely.
For new players, the LIFEBLOOD of the game, it makes it rubbish.
Some win, some lose.
Solution? Just fix the pathing in SM and mara and that frees up lvl 30 to 50 for people to get groups because the mages will die when pulling 170 mobs!

Boosters are there to help people who dont wanna level the most boring way possible, if you enjoy questing 24/7 do it, but don’t bother others into your mindset bro. Noone is forcing you to buy boost, its optional ( retail has it for real money and there is a big reason for it )
