Banning rio wont change a thing.
Everyone is still at liberty to make their own groups with their ‘‘requirements’’.
And which tons of facts does it gather? Because it all comes from Blizzard API, so its already being tracked and with a few clicks on armory, i can see with whom i did run my +17 timed Freehold with.
And there is also the Mythic Keystone Leaderboard which shows each M+ run on any given level on the realm aslong as it was timed.
Rio just parses that API and puts it up on a website and into an addon with a easy to check scoring system and list of timed / untimed dungeons.
So it only helps groupleaders by making a ‘‘smart’’ decision. And by that i mean is that the score tells a bit about someone’s experience.
But we are still talking humans, so even with 2.5k score you can still mess up an easy pull because you are just making a mistake.

Exactly, I woud understant if people demand rio for like m20, but they demand rio for anyhting, for trivial stupid stuff , like m10 for example, its become boring and time consuming to deal with rio politics each time you want to do sometjing in this game, just because one wipe is end of the world for spoiled rio community, so all is about, gfief CV to reduce wipe chance, and game become like second job.
Baning rio will gief chance to community to heal, community in retail WoW become bunch of rubbish bottom barrel people, and this is fact, and this addon is 1st to be blamed for that, if you not believe check other games, WoW classic etc, then return to retail, you will saw what people become.

in meantime in WoW: Pressing space in middle on Stormwind and doin nothing and dealing with same tiresome and time consuming politics over and over: “No rio no invite”. “You dont know tactic rio, shows you didnt do this instance this season, but I did it 2 season ago…player ignoring you” . Judge someone before try. Game become second job. “Go buy boost so you can get in grps”. “That guy is low rio kick or I not play”. Anyone think that they are incarnation of gaming god in WoW, 1 wipe = end of the world, how is possible that god can wipe?. Lets discriminate… Thats what rio maded you ! be ashamed, bottom barrel rubbish commuinity, it cant be seen in other games or WoW classic, if you not believe go and check.
I dont know. Seems like you didnt try to find other players. Go to a community who are happy to have a new member, where you can ask questions, where people help each other, playing the game together, share game knowledge and everyone progresses as players and friends.
I just hitted 2 weeks ago on alliance where i know nobody 120, and i did a +0 to get a key. I pugged my own +2 temple key, did with almost the same group the +5. It was all nice.
But i can also just put in my community the help for running a low level key. No idea why i should exclude friends. I mean, that is what friends are for? You help each other.
But rio is one of their tools to inflate this ego syndrome, serves as pump, rio is like money without cover, only breeds bad stuff in game.
Also in WoW people are always obssesed with numbers, like rio, damage meters, win/lose bias etc…and stupidly they really think they are good if those numbers are high. Over years I whitnesed alot of stupidities because number obssession, Like leader kicking someone from raid because low damage, but guy was actualy 3x times randomy choosen to kite somehting on boss. Healers which own healing meters but people still die (offcourse when they spec AoE leech healing just to pwn healing meters), Guys who dont want to play arena with you because you have negative win/lose bias, and he dont wish to hear that you played games for fun with neighbours or anyone who comes by… Guys who use damage meters in arena but stupid enough to understand that in arena if guy have 100k HP and you do 101k damage you can kill, its not about damage its about time when you doin that damage.
Numbers in WoW are evil, yet all is somehow managable except rio, this is one which turned community into monsters
Why do you keep ignoring the community/friends way? Like you do in all other games? Rio is only there to find players you don’t know, with certain experience for the content you do. Otherwise you have to check armory, which is way less informative.
If you want to be brutally honest, you should first start with being honest. So far, you’re just being brutally dishonest.
You’re complaining about people living an illusion, but then you go on about how everybody should just be friends with everybody. Talk about not living in reality. And you have the audacity to call yourself a realist on top of that.

If you feel, a game is becoming like a second job, that is your ‘‘fault’’ or issue.

There always is the part of the playerbase that is toxic or annoying or feels superior because they have more experience than others.
I literally leveled up alts this expansion on both factions and just pugged my way up from 0s to like M+8 in only a week or 2 total per char.
Running higher keys ever since on said alts.
It isnt so hard really to get into M+ groups.

It is, offcourse always someone will be toxic but today majority become monsters, and yes people measured each others but not in magintude as they do today, not in magnitude that game become to feel like mandatory second job, people was always looking to catch on somehthing, but at least in that time system not reach point to “judge someone before actualy play with him”, its against any aspect of gaming and sportmantship…
Ok again to counter you, im playin since vanilla, I was there with all expansions, Game never reached social crisis as its today, people was never behaved like they behave today… Evry expansion WoW has its issues, but in this expansions things escalated with rio. social aspect of game reached bottom barrel, and it all can be thank to rio
A job …
I got after my job home yesterday. Cooked dinner, watched some television (news), had a coffee. Went with a drink and some fruit to my pc. Openend discord. Asked from some dungeon fun. Did 5 dungeons in ~3 hours. Socialized for another half hour on voice. Went to bed.
As a developer myself, creating an application that consume API data is pretty easy. So if people really want RIO gone, then they should ask Blizzard to shut down those API. And then they are going to complain that another addon is being created.
People always think “RIO BAD REEEE REEEE” when it all comes to them trying keys they should not queue in.
Let’s say we remove RIO. The people who used to rely on RIO to find good teammates are now going to rely on another metric, maybe they’ll check your armory and see which keys you’ve done, or rely on ilvl, or flat out make you link KSM like we used to do.
The people who previously weren’t invited into these groups still won’t be invited, and it only makes it more convoluted for people who are looking for a good player to find one. It’s the same thing with wclogs, especially now that boosting is so prominent.
If anything Blizzard oughta make an in-game leaderboard to celebrate those who put time and effort into pushing high keys. Blaming RIO for you not getting invited into groups or “violating your wow privacy” is like blaming the company who does your credit score when you get turned down for a job.
Removing RIO isn’t going to reduce the amount of elitists nor will it allow more players to be invited into high keys. If good players can’t formulaically find other good players to play with then they’ll just stick to their guild group and never pug again, and that’s worse for all of us.
Bruh…tell me why I shoud open discrord to paly WoW as intended? If game worked perfectly before rio, why I shoud need discord as extra tool to play?
Lets say i personaly dislike discord, i dont love navigating between endless room labyrints, then alt tab 50x time before inv someone etc… I prefer games which have workable own group system why this third party now become a thing? rio , discords, whats next guys really? Where is genuine WoW community, does anyone still lives?
