if u call druids good at something then no class is bad, it’s disingenuous and it’s a bad attempt at underplaying the severe class imbalances in classic. Druids should be about 2.5% of the players, not counting alts (Should be a lot lower) thanks to the current class balance.
Not one of those things you mentioned is an undeniable fact, I deny everything you just said. You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about.

In top tier guilds, druids cannot heal, because tanks and melee dps reach buff cap, which means druid heals remove important damage increasing buffs for those classes. Those raids take 1 druid, have him go boomkin, to spam fairy fire and give crit bonus to caster group. The boomkin does less than tank dps. If not for fairy fire, the raid would have 0 druids
There’s much more to this game than raiding 
And even if what you say is true, maximum efficiency in a raid is a preference, not a requirement
At equal skill/ commitment, a druid is pretty much useless compared to any other class at anything in the game other than carrying flags in wsg

Ifs it’s viable, it’s not useless. Even when compared to another class. It may perform a little less, but it still does the job perfectly fine, and the raid or group will still get done. And consider this, how are other people carrying you if you’re working harder to perform?

Mage is probably the most well rounded class and the easiest class to level - some will disagree and say Hunter is but I’m not just talking about efficiency in combat which mages also have while leveling with the AoE Blizzard build which is great for farming they also get free food, water and can teleport later on which will save you a lot of time getting to locations. They’ve got great single target damage, great AoE damage, the best defensive cool downs in the game other than Paladin and the best CC/slows. Your also the most sought after DPS for 5 man dungeons because ya know people be wanting that free water/food, AoE spell cleave and CC. On top of that you can make extra gold from selling food/water and portals and doing boosts at 5g per boost which you can easily do 5 DM or SM runs in an hour (25g per hour plus drops) . There’s not really a down side to mage.
