The dungeons were actually, decent, and better than BfA dungeons by miles. BfA dungeons, like all the other BfA content is created with the goal in mind being sucking as much time as possible making you feel like you achieved something when you achieved nothing at all.

The BfA dungeons are described in 1 word: Trash. Trash as in they are filled with trash mobs and trash as in the quality of the dungeon. WoD’s were just decent, not too much of anything, not spectacular but still better.

Tanaan and WHATEVER that came with WoD as the base end game i would take over WQs, no matter how flawed you may think they were, anything is better than WQs.

Like i said in my post, WQs and rep grinds being the base end content outside of mythics and raids is just an insult at thus point. Dont get me started on expeditions.

Personally I think BfA has had a terrible start. I’m not going to list why, there are plenty of threads like that.

Raiding with my guild has kept me playing and I’m part of a team running a guild and that does take a reasonable amount of work/effort.

Sadly a lot of guild members are really bored too and it’s sad to see it feel like end of Legion within the first few months. Raids are the busiest times. The rest of the time the guild can be very quiet and I hate it.

I like the expansion a lot and I prefer it to Legion in many ways. I’m not currently playing though cause even though I enjoy the expansion itself I find that my desire to play with other people has completely diminished.

Also the game feels like nothing more than a dungeon crawler since the introduction of mythic+ and that’s not something that really interests me.

I disagree on it being a solid expansion, it’s literally Legion, BFA never added anything unique, it added the heart of azeroth which is a less rewarding more frustrating version of artefact weapons.

The world quests have worse rewards than Legion as well, I can’t talk about PvP as I don’t PvP but from a PvE PoV, Legion was better, maybe BFA will improve over time but right now I can’t escape the feeling that this expansion is just Legion copy pasted in a new environment.

WoD didn’t just have worse end game content, it didn’t have any. In no world can Apexis be called better than World Quests, or having to grind mobs to get reputation. The dungeon event remedied that issue slightly but it was still terrible.
BfA dungeons have a lot of trash that shouldn’t be considered trash. Doing so is a mistake, especially in keystones. The dungeons are longer and more engaging. WoDs were…boring. They had just as much trash too, it just didn’t matter.

Ok , now go back to your hamsterwheel and do world quests .
Maybe , JUST MAYBE if you pray enough to the RNG Gods you will have a chance to drop the piece of gear that you need .

WoD had little content - that was the problem, the problem with WoD was never the quality of the content. You’re the first im hearing this from. But to each his own, doesn’t change the fact that this expansion is being received the same way as WoD. The only difference is this is only the beginning of this expansion. Which speaks volumes. You will always have people that will eat up anything Blizz puts on the plate. But im glad a lot are speaking up. This expansion is just not good and below all standards for a company as big as Blizzard.

EDIT: Oh and BTW we would LOVE to have grinding mobs for rep back, at least that will give the correct definition back to the word “grinding”. Grinding is not doing 10 !time gated! WQs for rep. Grinding mobs gave you the option to do it at your pace. Want to do it in 1 sitting? You can, want to do it slow? You can. Time gated content seems only to appeal to you and only you lol.

Yeah man PVP players got 1 new BG after 5 years, and they cut in half the spells we can use in PVP…

Nice, I’ve shared mine lots of times, the problem is as with most when we’re happy people don’t post they just like to get on with it.

So the side that’s unhappy appears to be a majority because you only get the few happier players that are posting AND playing instead of just letting one side have their own negative views.

I haven’t read through your whole thread OP, but I’m sure you’ve a lot of these same people who hate the game and listen to their god (few streamers) to tell them what to think and how to play hating on you, but you are absolutely right to post your views. :ok_hand:

No its a crappy expansion. The worst imo.
Sure its pretty and all but classes are screwed … pvp is screwed … the whole direction they are going is screwed.

Im actually enjoying it as well. I am a very casual player so a lot of the problems being faced don’t phase me or come into my field of play. Still as a casual all I want is enough QoL things in the game to allow me to get some decent gear (LFR,LFD, passive’s etc etc), experience the story and have fun BUT NOT at the expense of those players who put effort in and enjoy challenges, titanforging and wf should maybe be a mythic only boon perhaps say from mythic 10 up. We casuals should not be solely catered to, that isn’t fair.

You guys should really redefine the word “casual”. Alot of you 360-370 ilvl with a full hc clear look down on people thinking you are more than casual. I think this is the main issue with this expansion, it’s way too easy to do content, you feel limited pretty fast imo. I really feel like a casual player (I dont have time to play more than 1-2 hours/day , and i am 381 ilvl and 3/8 mythic, so that is something average for this expansion. So if I as casual feel limited on what harder content (except progressing a few more bosses in mythic raid or doing higher keys for io score) to do, I wonder what really hardcore people do. There should be at least 2 raids/patch in my opinion, and the new ones should come faster.

to progress in this game u have to rely on other players and that’s not happening because people are quitting or getting gear too fast and just not showing up to raids , Tanks have massive attitudes . BFA is a constant GRIND … SUCKS if they said it would be a massive grind to get exulted and u get nothing for that work and constant aserite farm with no set gear i would have never come back to wow every time you just get your character up and fine tuned to actually start enjoying they change something and destroy it again … no u have to rely on others to build up again and that is the worst part of this game because most people think of themselves and no one else.

Probably the worst expansion that I’ve played so far.

The M+ is completely pointless to farm as opposed to legion M+.

M+ takes so much more longer than legion M+ and you get less rewards from it.

Azerite gear is trash and should be removed.

Removed tiers for Azerite gear #Yeeaah.

Bad class designs that will apparently be “fixed” in 8.1

I want legion back tbh.

I actually enjoyed doing the M+ in those dungeons as opposed to the dungeons with easy bosses, yet the trash tends to be a lot harder than the bosses themselves.

Might as well call the damn bosses trash and the trash = bosses lmao.

It’s awful. I only enjoy doing warmode and questing was fun the first time.

Friends who didn’t quit once even during the worst parts of legion are unsubbed or never log on at this point. :joy::ok_hand: good job bliz

I really wish there was a path of progression that doesn’t rely on pure RNG.

Like leveling through questing: you quest, you get level + gear. A very simple and linear concept. The start of an expansion is therefore really enjoyable to me.

But what’s left when you hit max level? You… go to instances, hoping for some random drop with random stats. You can sort of target gear a little bit by checking world quests, but RNG still rears its ugly head so… meh.

So you do the same thing over and over and over and over again, expecting a different result. Hey, wasn’t that the definition of madness?

Sincerely im disappointed about this xpac. The uncontrolled rng and the perpetuos scaling are the worst problems here.
If they will fix islands and warfront (pvpvpvppvpv) and polish some unfinished content maybe bfa could become better. For me now is not so enjoyable like legion.

i’ll be honest, i would rate it below WoD, in wod we didnt have much content, but what we had was rewarding , now we have content with poor rewards…
i just dont want to do a wq that gives me 35 resources, or 200AP, or 80gold…or a daily hc that gives 150 AP and you need 30 000
they need to quadruple that at least, to make it worth the time, things arent worth doing and i really don’t like that, i would love to play few hours and get some stuff and feel, nice i got a bunch of stuff, i’m quite happy.
this way i just log out, whats the point in wasting so much time.

People hated legion when it first came out. They hated the time gating, the artifact weapons grind, the rep grind, the fact that there were now two pathfinder achievements to get flying, and some of the Suramar quests. Because Legion was coming off WOD it was a step in the right direction. Most people remember Legion at the end, not at the beginning.

Legion at the end had problems smoothed out, plus by then we had Argus as another zone.

By all accounts, 8.1 for BFA will be its saving grace, as it looks like it will fill in the gaps and have increased content. Keep in mind too that BFA arrived 1 month early than it was supposed to, so the developers lost 1 full month of work for the expansion.
