Bg premade queueing

So, since BGs are arriving tomorrow one question still remains: Will we only be able to queue as 5 man groups or will addons like preform AV enabler still be a thing allowing raids from 10-40man to queue for BGs?
Seeing as many gamebreaking addons are getting shafted (LUA API change) what for stance will blizzard take on addons like this? Will they also be affected? The addon allows for 10 man raids to queue dodge other premades resulting in BGs ending prematurely.

You could queue as a raid group in vanilla without an addon to bypass the 5-man limitation which came in a much later expansion.

I just hope there’ll be battlegroups and region locks. Either way, premades will reign supreme. At least with a proper premade on the EU-English side, no small region will have the advantage by bypassing the 5-man limitation like in retail.

This is wrong. You can queue for wsg or ab as 10 or 15 man, but for av you can only queue as 1

Sorry if it is a dumb question but why would you be limited to queuing in a party rather than a raid?

I believe the addon let your group sign up on about the exact same moment, making it a big chance you got put together in a AV, but was not flawles. But been a while, so not quite sure anymore.

It was disabled in retail’s API because it was bypassing the 5-man limitation.

Then the smaller regions started mimicking it manually via voice coms and such, which Blizzard has never dealt with, ever.

Predicting BG experience

This is actually a fair prediction. Because it is already what happened in retail. You see, in retail they made it impossible to queue as a raid for BGs. But quickly after that, an addon came that made it possible to sync the queue timing so the leader queues and the others have their addons queue for them at the same time. This made it possible to get the majority, if not all, of that premade into the BG. This became “the norm” in retail, kind of like the Spy addon is today. So the solo pla…

Wait, im confused here. So can we actually queue as a raid group? Or are we bound to manually sync queues as in retail?
I for one hope there’s region locks too. Hell i’d rather have just 5man groups queueing than full blown premades, it’s way healthier for the game in the long run.

No one knows for classic but in vanilla:
You could queue for WSG and AB with full 10/15 man groups.
For AV you could queue 5 but we had an addon, like someone mentioned, that would queue all at the same time. It sort of worked.

I would assume it still works the same way, perhaps minus the addon.

Yeah, players used to queue at the exact same time to get in together but it didn’t always work or you may end up with only half the pre made getting in.

You could queue 40 man in AV back in vanilla, you used a addon called stinkyqueue, or stiky queue or something, i did it, and u smashed everysingle AV in like 6 mins

You can queue as a premade if everyone in your team queues at the same time

however this only works for alliance because they have no queues, horde can’t…

Yeah but that didn’t work very long, Blizz intentionaly broke that addon.

In MoP there was oQueue until it was disabled in the API, and that addon (as long as the entire premade had it) made it possible for the raid leader to queue the entire raid at the same time, to bypass the 5-man premade limitation.

But then Blizzard disabled the possibility to join the BG queue via the API, which disabled the addon’s functionality itself.

Shortly after that, the smaller regions (most notably the German turtling premades and the Russian HK-farming premades, which you can see the results of in the world rankings of HKs obtained on 3rd party websites), started doing what oQueue did, except they did it manually. Blizzard never did anything about this bypassing, nor did they ever punish the players for bypassing it.
Now, the EU-English region queues for unrated BGs less than the EU-Russian region, in retail.
Even though the EU-English region is the largest one in retail.

With all of that history behind us, here you go.

This new addon is back to do the very same thing, with as much automation as possible to aim for the highest success rate. Keep in mind, there’s no guarantee an entire 40-man premade ends up in the same, but the more you are that queues, the larger the success rate.
Don’t expect a small 5-man premade to end up in the same even when using this addon that is linked to at the start.

inb4 “racism”, “xenophobia” blabla, I’m not saying everyone did it. There’s a clear difference in coordination between a premade and a randomly matchmade team, even when it comes to the smaller regions.
We all know about the way the regional matchmaking worked back then and how it split up the languages, although it put the Spanish/Portuguese matchmaking pool into the EU-English one for some reason, and the rest was split up so they could only be opponents.
This is what the players who could never tell a premade apart from people who just came from the same place started to think they’re all premades, and the ones who tries to refute it by saying “they’re not a premade, they’re just from the same language’d regional matchmaking” (except more poorly phrased) who never actually realised some were legit premades.
This made it harder to bring these actual premades to light who did it intentionally.

It’s easier to accomplish with fewer people in the matchmaking pool.
