I don’t agree with OPs proposed fix but I do agree that Lotus (all herbs actually) need to have increased nodes and randomised spawns, aswell as massively increased spawn rates on lotus specifically.
This thread needs to stay at the top. We need more visibility of this issue.

Bump still cant find any no matter what time i log on.
What a useless cancerous reply, guy asks a valid question and a constructive solution then comes the cancer like yourself, who just wants to puke out nonsense like a angry child who has never been hugged by his mother.

Sorry, you’re right. I’ll try again.
Considering there’s no point mafiaing up the Black Lotus market on dead servers (as they’d yield a lower GPH than you’d get by multiboxing instances or soloing DMT / Maraudon), the only reason somebody would be doing it is if they intend to transfer to a big server where they’re extremely valuable.
Lmao i thought you were beefing me before …well yea thats true
in the past 8 weeks, i have only seen black lotus 2 times and picked it once. The only times i saw them was late at night. Are Arcane Crystals and other rare gems equally rare?
Arcane crystals rain like confetti compared to BL…
Can mine roughly 200 thorium ore without seeing a single crystal.
I think the only thing really suffering from the big population servers is Black Lotus. Arcane Crystals etc. are farmed in DME. It might be suffering a bit, due to there being less veins per player in the outside world, but since they’re available from instances they’re not outrageously expensive.
But yeah, if you couldn’t farm Arcane Crystals in instances they’d be worth a ton.

Can also mine 1 vein and see multiple.
That’s just rng. Can’t really compare rng to a limited spawn.
Blizzard really needs to start modifying herbs in relation to the population sizes. They learnt this already on pservers, why aren’t Blizzard smart enough to do it… the testing has already been done. Years of pserver data at their disposal and they wont even look at it.
It’s a minor detail, to be fair. Albeit important.
No changes , as the Mage says change your life and get gud
@Blynk, Remember that when doing AQ or Nax and your told no flask for you couldnt find enough Bl . ice cap
Technically, adjusting the spawnrate by a factor equal to the factor by which the player capacity was increased is not a change.
As mentioned before, a very good solution would be to even out the playing field by having BL spawn in instances like DM:E’s Rich Thorium Vein. The BL system was poorly made and suffered from the beginning because of it. Let it spawn in instances like Rich Thorium Vein and it will make it fairer to the players - which is what they are complaining about. It’s a green item. By logic it should be common, not even rare!

I’m levelling my rogue to camp a spawn spot boss
I’m not a fan of actual changes tbh, but anything that gives us more Black Lotuses is a step in the right direction…

It could easily have happened. Particularly if you were one of the first 60s and you played on a big server with 5 or more layers.
Obviously it’s quite the chore to farm it yourself now, but loads of people bought massive bulks when A) layers were a thing and B) people transferred tons.
I can name a handful of people off the top of my head who have hundreds. I can even name a guy who accidentally deleted several stacks with TSM :’).
And no. He couldn’t get it restored.
