Blizz making game time changes

So basically people who only want to pay for only one month will have to buy a monthly sub from now on and just cancel its renewal right away?

You can also redeem a WoW Token for 30 days of game time, as per usual.

Well this sucks, i usually bought 180 days game time cause it was cheaper.
Now i just checked and only 60 days is available at the regular price…

And my game time expires in 25 days so i actually wanted to buy 6 months again… guess i’ll wait out the 25 days and then see if i want to play wow any longer.

this company getting worse every day, i stopped playing for 1 1/2 months now because of privat problems, but i think i will not come back anymore. its a shame. time to find a new game with a company that cares! have fun getting your money blizzard.

TLDR, Its all about trying to get more people to subscribe and then hopefully forget about it if or when they stop playing so Blizz can keep charging them and get away with it…that’s the ONLY reason for the change

so game time cards from shop not affected?
from blizz and the ones who sell games etc

Screenshots were included. I’m not sure what was hard to understand about my post.

Buy game time - now 60 days
Subscribe - three options available

Said it back in December when they did this to British players that it’s to push people onto rolling subs for better numbers.

See how many people just quit over this.

Also it was because of brexit /laugh /sarcasm

Which is quite funny because 3 months ago when the UK got the change, people said it was because of Brexit.

Its predatory, no other word for it, they actively hope people forget about their sub’s or payment due dates, plus they actively use these subscription numbers as a main metric for a game’s activity

I disagree, it’s a subscription. If you are that bad at making financial choices then a subscription is not for you. Keep buying game time instead that will just expire.

It’s part of being an adult. Managing your income and outgoings.

Doesn’t matter to me if you force me to farm 5 or 6 wow tokens buzzard, xD it’s easy anyway, well done preventing potential players from paying to play

It wont affect tokens, it’s just the buy game time option.

Buy subscription.
Cancel subscription.

Can be done in 10 minutes.
Surely people’s memory is longer than 10 minutes?

I’m on 3 month sub auto since forever will this affect me?

I’m in the UK thats first time I heard of that.

Simple way to look at it is, If a company makes ANY changes and you don’t understand why ALWAYS look at it from a money point of view I can guarantee 100% every time you do that you will see they increase revenue in one way or another due to the change.

No, it only affects purchasable gametime, not subscriptions.

If you are on a subscription you wont be affected by this change, no

That’s not related.
Those changes were made because the British Pound has a floating exchange rate and therefore Blizzard needs to adjust their prices every so often, so WoW costs relatively the same regardless of whether you’re paying in $, £ or €.
And it just so happened that the value of the British Pound had changed quite a bit, so the cost of WoW in £ was adjusted accordingly.
