Blizz making game time changes

I’m confused. What exactly is the point of this change?

ah thank you
curious why arent you MVP yet hehe

I’ve always bought game time with PaySafeCard. (30 days) I cannot subscribe with paysafecard - this is not available in the store in my country. You need to buy 60 days. I feel terrible. I will not pay with a credit card. Paying for 30 days with paysafecard was good.

I would label it as standard business practice.

If you’re going to offer different payment options, then it’s normal to incentivize the preferred option by making it the cheapest.

When I need to book a room at a hotel, then I can get a cheaper price if I book online than if I book it at the hotel desk. Why? Because it is preferable for the hotel to manage online payments rather than in-person payments, so they incentivize it by making it cheaper.
Even if I show up at a hotel and ask for a room, then in most cases I will still be directed to a nearby computer from where I can place my order – and where it is cheaper to do so. Because that’s what the company wants me to do. It benefits them and it benefits me.
It’s the same for Blizzard.

For me it’s an inconvenience for sure. I got a wow shop gift card for my birthday which currently has balance left to buy 30 days gametime only…an option that’s no longer there now

You can’t understand the difference between the token and the shop selling game time?

No need to get snarky when you don’t understand something.

How does it benefit you having fewer options and having things more expensive, 6 months costing 78e instead of previous 66e, when paying with bnet balance.

We have new people who don’t know

Well make something up, most others are.

I don’t think you understand how tokens work child. You buy tokens for gold, add 13 euros to bnet balance and you buy 6 tokens now to buy 6 months of game time

Here is the FAQ

It explains how everything works. But keep being rude by all means.

Well that’s 3 clicks for me now instead of two when getting gametime. Why though.

Can’t you just right click the token and add 1 month? Though it was cheaper to get 180 days, that’s a problem yes.

Yes that is how it works. You use the token to claim time, you don’t turn it into balance.

Was there a need to call someone a child! Especially when its been pointed out to you the facts?

Yeah, I knew about the change, It was the comment of that people in the UK said the change was because of Brexit. LOL. That thought never crossed my mind, first thought had was it was changed in hope people forget about their payments and Blizz gets basically free money, which is the root reasoning for Subscriptions in the first place.

There’s actual facts on the web that show company’s with Subscription plans increase there yearly gross revenue by a min 10% solely just from Subscriptions consumers have simply forgot about… they literally get money for nothing and its legal.

If you live in the ‘real world’ you would know to keep an eye on your bank account and your outgoing transactions. I’m pretty sure everyone who has bills to pay does this, at least the ones with a bit of wit.

I wonder what kind of business case this is. This looks really less appealing to new people if they want to try it out or returning players who might try it again for some weeks (let’s say 2 or 3) resulting in blizzard making less money. Such a nonsense.
