Blizzard, I implore you: retune BWL, ZG, AQ40 and Naxx40 while you still have the time to do it

You are not getting it though. It took nearly two years for the real thing to reach 1.12, the patch that Classic is based on. You are getting a very warped version of Vanilla.

Pretty much this.

Let me list thigs Blizzard can do to increase the difficulty of raids in Classic

  • Make avoidable damage one shot you :arrow_right: pay more attention to dancing
  • Make berserk timers very strict :arrow_right: more gear grinding for dps
  • Increase all damage :arrow_right: more gear grinding for the whole raid
  • Increase boss health :arrow_right: more gear grinding for the whole raid
  • Actually change how the bosses work :arrow_right: no comments

I don’t know if any of these changes would actually be that meaningful. Sure if they make Ragnaros require 1k+ dps from every dps it takes more time to kill it.

Do the devs know how to make raid mechanics for vanilla toolkits?

I don’t doubt they can make fun raids with toolkits they’ve created. But they didnt make the vanilla toolkit.

I don’t think people realise what a huge difference us playing on 1.12 has made on the game.

Who decided that that makes it not vanilla tho? Vanilla lasted for longer then a year
1.12 is still an official wow patch during that time

It sounds to me as an outsider like its just people who arent happy with the specific version used who then claim it isnt true vanilla to support their arguement

Dont get me wrong, I havent played 1.12 or what came before so I wouldnt know the difference, its just all these people making claims on 1.12 not being vanilla feels like theyre just presenting their opinions as if theyre facts set in stone

I didn’t mean changing raids, but rather change the mechanic of classes. Like, make a moonkin regen a lot of mana on crits? Or make ele shamans deal bonus damage to elementals? Implement bonus mechanics that would compensate their instant oom situation in PvE (which is mean reason why they are oomed) that would work only against PvE targets and it’s fine.

Haha, so you don’t want the raids to be harder then?:stuck_out_tongue:

im not going to talk about classes. They’re fine to me

I’ve replied to a post about changing certain specs (moonkin)

Exactly, people VASTLY underestimate how much of a differene 1.12 is compared to early vanilla for most raids

Yet apparently the ones who estimate it so accurately never use evidence or such to back up their claims.

The more I hear that 1.12 makes early raids different, the more I start to think; maybe it made it harder

Well it objectively is not the authentic experience as it was. The real thing was never in this state that Classic is in right now. This experience simply never existed back then as we are playing a version designed for Naxx and doing launch content with it. It’s like starting Legion with the patch 7.3.5.

I see what you mean now, thanks
Kind of nonsensical when you put it like that, that they release the Naxx patch without its endgame features it was balanced around

The funny thing about the current state of the game is that it’s super rough out in the wild, you can easily get killed if you make a mistake, but the dungeons are a joke. They are waaaaaay to easy. As it stands now, there is no challenge at all in any of the instances I’ve been inside.

So to group up with other ppl just to play easy mode isn’t very much fun. Blizzard needs to crank up the difficulty sooner rather than later.

The talent trees in early classic were absolutely horrid. They were fixed in later patches and that definitely counts as a buff.

Why?

If you want challenging dungeons go play retail.
Classic is for faceroll content you can do while watching a movie on a second screen.

Because they made the player characters stronger?

Indalamar.

This.

Ill keep on saying that 1.12 was a bad idea, original 1.12 is not the same as 1.12 private servers.

Some things has been toned down tho.

A single exception is not an argument.
If you can’t see how all the classes have all gotten stronger over the course of vanilla you need help.
