It’s been horrible all last expansions. The game chat is meant for this - chatting. Not selling raids for gold. People simply don’t chat in main channels anymore, it’s all flooded with spam. The game needs other means for marketing messages. Move them to special places where people who are looking for, can access it.
well, i know thats debatable but in general, trade chat is for trading and people selling raids and whatnot is technically trading. trade chat isnt meant for chatting.
i suggest using an addon like badboy and filter out all the boosters.

first thing to do in wow these days when logging a new char or entering the game in general.

No use in running addons to provide that obnoxious chat filtering, because it seems the establishment doesn’t give a hoot.

Afaik using Trade chat for non trade things (aka just chatting) is actually against the intention of the trade channel. And i believe (emphasis on believe) a bannable (silence) offense.
Ye thats called a trade channel.
What you want is a separate new channel for chatting like a General Capital Chat that isnt trade related.

boosting is a service and they’re selling that service.
it’s really easy to just sign out of trade and general and you’re not missing much.

premade groups are on LFG
up until patch 6.1 trade chat was the primary tool of forming premade groups (PUGs) for various content. But then a convinient and easy to use tool was made (LFG) so trade chat was pushed into obsolescence. It became boosting service advertisment tube. On large servers this spam is never-ending.
But it’s not an issue. 1 and 2 aren’t needed to play WoW.
What needs to be dealt with are boost adverts in LFG tool. Trying to do weekly nzoth HC or +15 results in many, MANY listings of boosting adverts. This is actualyl against the rules and results in 24h silences. But those boosting communities have so many spamming accounts that it doesn’t really affect them. This needs to be actioned more.

Chatting: /General chat /party /guild /whisper /say /Instance But also: Battle.net, in game voice, discord etc etc

They could as well give them their own seperate channel allrdy, because apparantly it is now Boostchannel 
And even with the Boostloving arguments for “BuTtHeYsElLaSeRvIcE” it is still too much. I mean I can’t even see what they are selling. All I can see is NOVA and Icecrown spamms, from like 6-7 persons each.
And THIS is the issue.
It is not that boosts are sold - But that up to 10 people from EACH service is spamming nonstop ontop of each other.
And besides, if you visit any of their webpages it is clear that the Boosts are in fact sold for RL Money and not gold. So I do not see why people defend these hats so much.

For the chat, yes they should add a delay to be able to send another message so it’s less spammy. There are several big communities having 10+ advertisers on the same realm and it’s too much. Rename trade to “boosting” won’t change anything. We need a dealy or a maximum of messages posted per mintue by the same account.

Yeah on Ravencrest at least, all the big ones has a HUGE amount of people spamming. And its the same adds ontop eachother. Tradechat is on a sonic paced scroll from those two of the biggest. I’d like to see something like a delay happen, but how would ther impliment this - people just find a way around it.
And while I agree that boosting for gold should maybe be allowed, the big fish are indeed ruining it for the little ones, because frankly - It’s just so Pss As annoying with that insane level of spamming.
