Back in the days you could actually form up a premade for Warsong or Arathi Basin with 10 or 15 or more players depending of the Battleground, now you can’t unless you use an addon that syncs the team but not everyone knows about this.
In an ideal world blizz could simply allow that via Group Finder in the Battleground tab and host a group there until the desired ammount of players by choosing which classes to recruit, I believe Wargames simulated that to an degree.
Also adding a 4th role (lead) would be nice so you can organize the team from the start.
Nothing stoppping you meeting new friends and playing together, that isn’t the issue. The issue is when you decide to group up in full teams just to play against badly geared, unorganised new players. What is stopping you playing with your friends against other teams of friends in rated?
they really need to do something about larkus, he’s joining epic BGs as a group of 20+ people, this is clearly abusing game mechanics and technically griefing other players, ruining their gameplay experience, isn’t that against the ToS? he even streams it
I never have seen larkus joining a bg with 20+ players . Talking about giefing , it is ok for allies to so right? But not for horde? Did rezal not stream his bgs? And how about the isle ,when 15+ ppl jump into horde base and camp them there? All of it is just ok because ur the noble ally right? But it is pointless to argue about it ,it is a circle with no beginning or end . Do whatever u feel like with ur premade if it makes u proud to win every bg then so be it.
It’s fun to see all this whining. But you all say that 20-25 man premade ruins the game for all other 1m+ players. Damn, didn’t know those 20-25 players have such a power.
A very simple solution to this would be to add a que decline penalty. Afterall thats how it works, the part leaders coordinate together n only accept ques if the whole raid gets the que pop at the same time.
If people decline say 2 ques in a row, make them unable to reque for 5 mins, if they reque again after that n decline again its a 10 minute penalty. This would make it extremely hard to try to get full premades into the same BG since people would just get put on hold endlessly.
Now someone might say “but this is going to negatively impact regular players not doing full premades”, sure it might to a certain extent but is it really a problem? if you que for BG´s i assume its because you want to play it and missing two ques in a row might happen but in that case you´re clearly not in any urgency n should be able to wait 10 minutes.
I think this would be an extremely simple but very effective solution to the premade exploiting.
Only solution that is guaranteed to work is making all BGs cross-faction. And really there is no reason not to do so given the current state of affairs and cross-faction guilds.
I play alot of BG´s, or well. atleast i used to. Currently 70% of the BG population are MM hunter abusers n thats ruining the enjoyment for me all together so i dont even bother anymore but premades is another big factor that ruins the fun. If i could only remove one from the equation i would probaly remove MM hunters n just play against the premades though.
That being said que exploiting for full premade shouldnt be a thing. I dont see missing two ques in a row being a big issue for normal people, afterall people leave BG´s very quickly after realizing its a loss n that makes them wait 15 minutes. I actually think most people would be fine potentially waiting 10 minutes now n then n never risk playing into full premades.
Well the choice between a slightly longer queue to get a game that is playable versus a short wait time to meet a team that has won before the gate even opens, it should be a no brainer really.
Let’s be honest here. Queuing into an Epic as a 5-man team would also give us a 100% win rate, or nearly so, save except maybe bigger and more coordinated premades. So what’s the difference? 1-2 good heals, 3-4 good DPS. Game won.
And how would you prevent this? People can’t queue up in a group?
I would say you need to look up MMORPG, under the pretence that the pvp community are all friends and just like playing together what a load of tosh. PVP random communities are weak spinless people who need bully force to win anything, steamrolling undergeared opposition, really big, where is the challenge in winning 99% of the time, I persume its something lacking in real life.
That is I think, the only genuine way to solve the issue but even then, the typical mmo pvp’er can’t handle it when they lose a few games, so they have to make powerful teams and they’d just find some way again, of exploiting the queue.
But without any option to join as a team, the vast majority of players currently in randoms, would be found out extremely quickly, to be as average as the rest.
