Watching it last night compelled me to want to buy SL. If only I could work and not be financially restricted I would have done. I did resub though.
I wish they put the 30 playtime in the mid package but of course they put it in the big one.
I am enjoying it so far but my only annoyance is spoilers but to tears in a bucket . Its a bit late to be trying to avoid spoilers. Im to healvily involved in the game.
problem would be raising the M+ Loot to 216 would be less of a fix then 220 if they did that.
i think a large part of that is because in PvP the mode itself forces u to participate to uphold ur Score.
While M+ doesnt.
M+ U could do 1 15 of each dungeon… then spam +2s for the BiS gear to then upgrade to 220. but yeah this could of been easily solvable by adding a static upgrade amount onto it.
so for example
+10 ilevels on whatever its base ilevel is. thsi would have stopped the process and ensured u had to do the dungeon on +15 for its highest rewards without a cap on the currency.
No heritage or customisations is a massive let down.
Nightborne, Lightforged, Dark Iron and Highmountain are hugely lacking.
They should pull a void elf and add some skin/eye/hair colours from their base rave to add more variety.
I like SL. I felt some zones where meeeh and others where good. They where all to small. The maw was cool for 5 hours then it got annoying. The hard part of the maw is not really hard, they are annoying. I think blizzard mixed those up.
The quest are tied to a huge “save the universe” plot line. That has been boring since cataclysm. Need more long interesting quests exploring fun parts of the shadowlands.
Pvp gearing is good, balance need tuning. And maybe slower kill times. But I think and from what I have read this is better than 10min fights only ending with dampening.
Raid was fun but a little overturned. Maybe they should start to look at removing lfr, mythic and have normal heroic mode only. Making heroic a little harder and normal a little easier. Mythic is a huuuge time investment from players and devs.
Dungeons where very good, I personally think the timers is stressful in m+ but I do them anyhow since they give best upgrades when from vault. The loot from m+ is underwhelming and I wish they made a D+ without the timer.
Torghast is a cool idea that was extremely poorly implemented. Some classes just flew through it with ease others was impossible. They fixed that now but it lacks any reward system and are tied to mandatory soul ash, feeling forced to do content is never good.
They are Timegating to much content. Remove all weekly daily locks from all content. Let people play what they like when they like and tune all rewards to be meaningful and provide a power upgrade.
The covenant could be fun as a cosmetic system but the soul binds and power of abilities should not be part of a system. They should be part of a meaningful skill tree.
Legendary is in a weird place where people just pick what they hear is the best. No room for exploring and trying out stuff.
When it comes to the announcements from BlizzConline. Fun with all new content, cool with huge dungeon and new raid. Not so cool with they doubling down on maw and torghast as I am unsure how good it will be. They are not addressing the huge concerns and how to move forward. So that was a let down. Nothing of important was revealed. Just a glorified commercial.
Well the faction imbalance was obviously not gonna get fixed it’d make the least sense right now to lift faction restrictions.
Tier sets aren’t content they are just a reward so don’t rly bother me.
Renown. I dunno depends on what we get for the next 40 renown, more time in the maw will help catch up. I will take it
Customization. Didn’t expect any, the expansion took a delay. The patch’s seem delayed. It’s a pandemic. No game not even cyberpunk managed to get out of the mud during this.
Yes it’s dissapointing. It will be dissapointing to anyone who didn’t get what they wanted. However to a degree it’s also understandable. The lockdown makes their work processes slower their communication slower. Less people in the building dealing with the servers hands on
And they’re running most things remotely. During the busiest internet space to ever happen. Even transfering the data will be slower.
Customization will prolly be delayed til 9.1.5 minimum. Maybe 9.2.5 depending on how long it takes pandemic to lift.
There’s always space to critec and SL ain’t perfect
But I assure you the bugs in m+ will drive me to quitting before a patch with less content will.
Not even close. WoD had a major content patch with a self camera only. Lol don’t even compare and if you say the WoD one was better we know Ur bias.
Giving the game 0 content and a selfie stick is as small as a major patch could possibly get.
However imma just throw down:
The new mega dungeon is coming in. It will become a new m+ 2 dungeons in 9.1.5
The new affix is coming to m+
The new raids coming to m+
Effectively the only thing reduced in some eyes is the world content… Which by the reactions on here from BFA alot of people don’t give 2 for.
So no it’s not the worst patch.
That’s why this topics dying and NA got to 2 posts. Except NA are more honest about the critics
The game lacks enough new world content. This is hitting solo players. And their right to complain about that. But peeving off one portion of the player base has always been every patch’s achievements.
It’s not perfect. But as a player who’s fine with the idea open world contents for levelling and agrees with that notion. I don’t care about it’s expanse. What I care about is coming.
Ain’t saying my views right. Or applys to any number of people. Just saying from a pov where 9.1 is the best patch to happen.
The less open world content / mandatory content that gets put into the game. Is the less we have to do a week around the things we love to do.
So for someone like me 9.1 is a major success. It gives me more content that I actually wanna do. And less content which are considered chores.
WoD didn’t have problems? Garrisons are one of wows largest failures to this day they were half cut with 3/4s of what was advertising never arriving.
WoD had far larger problems then SL will ever have. The only reason some could argue this point is because WoD cut all its content out you can’t have issues if the content don’t exist
As I said. I was stating a pov where this expansion is entirely positive. No patch is gonna satisfy everyone and we clearly look for different content from one another from patchs
I was mainly referring to explain why we didn’t have things like customisations this early into the expansion. Which is the delays ontop of delays not leaving much room for the extra features currently
Imma need to statistic you for that from? 3-4% of wow use any form of media around this game. So how u talking for the other 90% that states 0 opinon?
Everyone’s so obsessed with making out as if the majority agrees with them
Then explain to me why the “majority” were pushing for this sorta patch throughout the entirity of BFA?
Explain why every person proclaimed the majority wanted less world content less loot, less chores, less dailies to do?
Because now your telling me the first crowds “majority vote” isnnow yours?
Honestly. Stop talking on behalf of people that you don’t know their opinons. It’s so incorrect it’s insane.
The vast majority of this game don’t play current content so they don’t care about this patch.
A portion of the playerbase, the solo players who play current content (the minority of the casual playerbase) have a dislike to the patch
But raiders don’t care about world content
Neither do key pushers
Neither does the 90% of the playerbase who play the game 1 expansion behind.
These were the statements during BFA
This is what they told blizzard if you go back during every expansion you will see what’s in the next expansion has come from the critics of that expansion.
This is what the “majority” asked for during BFA. But the thing is people enjoying SL are playing SL not on a forums. So the happy playerbase is permanently invisible.
Your not this majority. The majority have litterally not touched SL outside getting to 60 then working in BFA collectables / reps / farms.
It’s fine to have opinons but the whole “the community agrees with me” meme is a myth and vastly proven untrue every time. Because the majority this forum seems to talk about seems to need a new game. Because they don’t like anything they’ve asked for
Hit the nail on the head.
I feel exactly the same. My sub runs out the end of this month, so I was praying for something special to be announced and all we got was more Choreghast, more boring maw and a dungeon which looked good until they announced it would be locked behind Mythic only.
Well tryed but first before making such comment one should know the history of each players TBC was my favorite x-pack and the one I had the most fun and the most success ! Unlike Puny who was unfortunate being alone at tbc I went both in tanking and dps to the end of it had multiple arena partners and countless fun !
I can already see failure tank losing in heroics and receiving the whisper for the raid and guilds and making new contact , as i can hear the music of donjn of tempest and flying once again !
A very nice effort on your part, well tryed on top of that i will rebuy tcg items as i do in real life buying clothes, perfumes others can’t afford !
