blizzard polish hasnt been a thing since Legion

Whilst I don’t imagine Blizzard will keep making a game if it’s not making them money, I don’t think they are going to just stop for no good reason either.
true but wow base game feels polished in comparison to some others, it just feels smoother and overall better to play in moment to moment, but ofc there are exceptions. And I do hope you are right.
I am a league lore nerd and I’d love to explore what would become cannon league, especially the time setting would be awesome to know beforehand

those 3 expacs are 1 year long, its basically an expac split into 3 small expacs,

Actually if history repeats itself then mmo will make a comeback at some point, question is if its the next generation at some point or in the next next one, or if we’ll even be alive to see it or more like, we might be the 85 y/o’s that people brag about to their other guilds that we still play and we were here in the dark days, we’ll be like:“Back in my day the end boss had no shirt and he said we weren’t ready for what’s coming.” and they’ll be like:“Alright grandpa let’s get you to bed before you remember the name of that expansion”
I think the next move for Blizzard is to make the Diablo MMORPG.
There is enough lore & classes to make it a possibility, as long as they do not have the developers that created Diablo 4 on the same project.

the only way i could see MMO’s coming back would be through VR and AI

On another note, even doing a Starcraft MMO could work with 3 factions, that actually are at war and not world of the hand holding we respect everyones feelings warcraft.
I mean, that’s possible and although most see VR as kind of a weird thing now, I can totally see the future being in VR and Idk the idea in my mind, would be really cool if they can pull it off, like idk imagine actually standing in icecrown or sitting in grizzly hills hearing the full audio all around you and not just fron your screen or headphones
based on active MAU’s LoL has over 100 million active players…
compared to blizzards potentially 7mill… id say it has a larger fanbase
The RIOT MMO would be a lot bigger than WoW at it’s peak that’s for sure.
It’s the ip, lol mmo has some insane lore, imagine the hype of wow when we hadn’t beaten arthas yet and the posibilities were so cool, it’s kinda like that, except with league they have more then 1 arthas they have off the top of my head like 7 end bosses they could present for expansions that all have a different vibe and lore surrounding them
LoL is not an MMO. It’s a bit like citing Blizzards overall MAUs for all their IPs.
