Building in Azeroth: A First Look at Housing

If I remember correctly it whas like this, 18% Sin’dorei, 14% Kaldorei, 10% Humans, 8% Orcs, 6% Trolls, 4% Dwarfs, 3% Tauren

Sadly we actually have. I have more then once ruined myself the desire for a game thanks to prerelease discussions only to find out later that I actually like that one after trying it for myself with bad expectations.

Socializing and Roleplay. I like talking to relaxed people which is why for me the perfect server in WoW Classic has a two digit average player count.

Can I join though? I can not promise to reach Sin’dorei level of eticette but I will promise to try to show the best side a Frostwolf can offer.

Feel free to take my invite. I wasn’t going anyway.

I hereby solemnly swear that I will never visit someone else’s house
unless they pay me a million gold.

My guild started talking about housing this week and then we had the divide into Horde/Alliance neighbourhood.

Hopefully there will be a lovely neutral housing area in not too long. Especially with cross faction guilds these days this creates predictable issues.

It was no different with friends, we did a poll and the bulk wanted Alliance but four wanted Horde.

Can imagine it made you feel like individual housing would have been much better as you prefer anyway, much less hassle!

Honestly I’d still prefer that. I just want my own space and surrounding and not be in a neighbourhood at all.

I’m also concerned that doing a neighbourhood solo will look out of place. If plots are up to 50 that’s going to feel pretty meh.

My own house in Eversong Woods surrounded by the beautiful landscape and no artifical empty areas for other homes.

tbh. everything less than waycrest manor would be not impressing.
I want a lot of rooms, cellar, baclony, foyer, basement, catacumbs and ability to decorate both interior and exterior.

If this will be garrison type, where I put pre-decorated home with stuff inside and only decoration will be like these in garrison were (i.e. pupmkins and calduron and hats and bats here and there as pre-setup) then I think I will pass

Well if two players love to design houses themselves and just so create themself a private neighbourhoud where they have a whole plot to themselves like this one famous FF XIV couple how would this be an issue? For reasons like this exist the private neighbourhoods. Also someone said before here, that the forced socialization may be that you will only have access to private neighbourhoods by having at least one friend.
So if you would like Punyelf want to live in a private neighbourhood yourself you would need to do the “daunting” task of find a player who would create a permanent twink just for having a house in Puny’s neighbourhood or maybe a way to monetize this would work with just like RaF where you would then pay 13€ for a month just so that you have a friend to create with a private houseing community if you are like me and somehow fail to see the option of creating a twink for creating a throwaway single person guild.

And then there are other natives on this forum like me so well Konstantino is my not so much played Alliance main right now yeah I would be up for it with him despite being an austrian.

Ah hah a nimby

More a case of wanting my own space, like people who go and live remotely.

Both FF14 and TESO offers small, instanced apartments, so if WoW would like to compete, hopefully we are going to get that kind of player housing as well, on various locations. It would be nice if at least the faction capitals got their own apartments:

Stormwind (+Stromgarde, Gilneas, huge role playing hubs)
Ironforge
Gnomeregan (?)
Bel’Ameth (though for role players Astranaar, Feralas or a rebuilt Darkshore probably would be a better option)
Exodar
Telogrus Rift

Lordaeron (restored, +Brill, a huge role playing hub)
Orgrimmar
Mulgore
Silvermoon City
Suramar

Booty Bay
Ratchet
Gadgetzan

Where else would you like to have a cozy apartment or a small, private house plot?

The Frostwolf in my would want to build himself a home in Alterac valley.
Also for Bleeding Hollow Clan I would love either get Grom’gol or Swamps of Sorrow
For the Trolls you forgot Echo Islands (though Sen’jin is also prominant but that may be covered by Durotar) and Zandalar. Also there is Bilgewater Habor for Goblins.
Also a Neutral place for building which you have forgotten is Pandaria.

It was sort of a joke, I agree with you, and will also want a private space. What I would like is for the archeology trophys I have in Dalaron, a side room in my garrison, and the ones in Pandaria to be on the walls together, but that might be difficult

Would be nice if we could showcase various things.
