You need to write an announcement on the main wow login screen because i had to research hard to even find out this was even happening! the amount of tickets from people who have been logged for a year to find out all of their character have disappeared must be absurd. No information from blizz except from this forum.

Can you please make free character transfer from Hydraxian Waterlords to a PVE server soon, i didn’t get any info, i buy preepaid card and come back to a dead server, what a waste.

I doubt that we all have our characters on wednesday, no arrivals on both accounts.
Someone wrote in the US board, that a gm told him, they would need an additional week…

This poor soul has lost his characters to different realms.
One realm is not even in the list as target realm for the server murder process
I am just waiting for my Alliance Celebrations to be send to Gehennas…
I think US started a little bit earlies… They had “issues” with one realm, and all realms were i think almost a day offline
but more or less, yes.
Keep in mind, this person talked to a GM… and the GM do not necessarily have correct informations.
They should have just connected at least the RP Realms. Same effect, we would have kept or guilds, our names (!!!) and we could still log in on our “real” realms… the bitter pill would have been easier to swallow for me, if “Celebras” was written on it…
AND they would have been done earlier

Alright i see. Yeah i have been talking to two GMs about this and both of them said “we dont know anything, its the development team working on this”

Which also is wierd tbh, why dont the different teams talk to each other. I mean the GMs must be getting countless of tickets regarding this and got nothing to show for, other then “we dont know, it will take 2 weeks”

Probably the devs don´t know more themselves.
I doubt that they have ever migrated SO MANY characters at once.
it’s amazing that nothing more goes wrong…
Though this might be the last thing i do in TBCC/Wrath…
i don’t really feel like logging in anymore to be honest.
Hydraxian Waterlords is English, and RP just doesn’t work for me.
Lakeshire is a great realm - for a PVE realm.
But for me it is already too crowded, all the chars make me nervous. And it’s just not RP…
But i definetly need my “Celebras” guild

I sadly feels the same about Wrath, too many changes, each taking a small part of my joy at playing, means not much left anymore.
And players wanting even more changes, and realms being overfilled or broken … sigh … but I’ll keep on in Era, that’s my real home, as long as the too many changes does not get inserted there as well

For me it´s actually sololy the missing Celebras.
Was planning to play Dragonflight (i like everything about it)
I like the changes in Wrath (though some don´t effect me like Raids and probably dungeons).
But there is no realm left i would want to play on. 
I tried already during the original classic release about 6-8 Realms, including english ones.
Without Cele i would have been gone already.
Within 8 weeks from “where can i get the extended pre orders” to “ok, i should slowly consider to deinstall the clients”.
And it´s not that I wouldn´t like what they did. But the motivation/fun is completly gone
And era?
Be prepared that they will “consolidate” most of them in autmn.
Currently i do not expect that there will be more then one PVE and one PVP left

I don’t play Retail - like in I haven’t even bought SL.
I log in once a year for the Achievement WoW anniversary, and that’s it. My jopy / fun there has been taken away by scaling zones, ridiculous levelling, pointless professions, accountwide everything and last but not least shared kills, that effectually stopped the last fun thing - IronMan, peaceful edition.
I do not like the changes to Wrath. I go for #NoChanges at all to the Classic trilogy.
I do understand your “not without my realm”. I had set my sub up to not renew when the RP realms were to be deleted. I renewed it mostly to play Era. Now I think I’ll give SoM and the Soul of Iron buff a try, Most have left there as far as I understand
Era: well I just hope they leave the RP realms there, else I’m off. Only 1 PvE realm would soon become too crowded for me.
I have bought it but when i have had time, i was busy on Cele with my friends (who do not really want to play on Lakeshire themselves… they only stayed back then due to the german RP-PVE. And they are > 60, they don´t speak english, there is also no realm left for them)
And IF you play both and do not log in for a time you are punished, because “there was no logging activity on the classic realms, what a pitty…” 
Yes if you do not like any changes, that´s bad…
IMHO those changes make sense.
And at one point, the “original” WoW made errors - the subs dropped back then.
It would make sense to try to learn from previous mistakes, as they clearly try, like the battleground changes
It´s not smart to redo old mistakes
so, now i am stuck (or would be stuck) on your realm, and you are gone.
As I said, we will relay on the blue thread forever 
I think the best case we can hope for is, that they throw again all RP Realms together (And in my case, leave Celebras and throw the others on Cele)
But given the fact they do the same as they did in TBCC, with transfers off to two target realms, i am sceptical.
Yes, if they kill era Cele too, i am gone.

That error was remaking the world with Cata, and the uniformity of classes from there, late TBC/Launch of Cata had the highest sub-numbers ever. The subs only started falling from after Cata was launched.
I do not give 5 cents for or against RDF. And I never did any PvP after mistakenly rolling on a PvP server in 2006 and deleting that toon upon leaving the safe zones Re-rolling n RP-PvE - as far from PvP as possible but so many of the small changes implemented break my immersion because the look and sound different from back then
If there’d no low pop PvE I’m off. Doing IronMan is more than half my fun and with the still existing launch-related and totally crazy respawn rated (tried only yesterday) I’m not EVER going to play on an even medium pop server again.

The BGs were actually for some people a problem.
You had to wait for ages until a bg opened, and in my case i wanted to stay on a level (39), but couldn´t, because i would have levelt to 40 - or i would have been stuck with all of the enchanted etc. twinks.

That was the moment were i did not do a lot of bgs anymore…
So, not all changes are for everyone bad.
What bothers me with medium, especially on normal PVE, is the jumping.
somehow it makes me really, really, really, really, really nervous and i have to turn down the camera to the ground.
And all the enchants on weapons… i don´t know, maybe some kind of sensory overflow.
but it´s something which is really difficult for me.
Lakeshire horde is more or less still ok, it´s what i can deal with, but alliance… 
Why did you just not stop XP gains then?

I think so, I actyally like the enchants, But I dont like the too mayn players. Here I come to a village, the inhabitants live in fear of some danger and ask me, the big, strong Paladin to please eliminate this danger to their lives and livestock. I agree … only to stand in line to kill the monster! No immersion left.
Or riding into the sunset in a lonely place … with people snogging in the bushes … immersion broken.
