The game is unplayable in the 50-59 level range. I don’t help myself by being a Holy Paladin, but actually that wouldn’t make much difference against a pack of level 60 characters. I’m sure the same problem applies to all Horde and Alliance players, so I’m not complaining about server balance (although I know it is an issue). There is nowhere in my level range in which I can quest and it is all but impossible to run to a dungeon entrance. That leaves me with NOTHING to do.
“So re-roll PVE” is the common answer. Well, that’s one option, but the fact is I like being on a PVP server. I like PVP. I like the unexpected strike from an enemy and the thrill (when it very seldom happens) of getting the upper hand or when (more likely) a passing friend saves me. The problem isn’t anything to do with PVP, which is a lot of fun. The problem is that what’s happening now IS NOT PVP, and it’s simply not fun. It’s nothing more than a continuous honour-farm of people trying to get to endgame. That farming occurs simply because of a mechanic that rewards people for doing it, at the expense of the game for others. Will battlegrounds fix this? I don’t think so. I assume the BGs will come with honour-gear, so the prospect of free honour points will be increased (and easier to farm than having to do BGs).
From memory, although there was always a bit of this in the old days of Vanilla, the problem seems much worse now. I can’t account for the change in the way people do things other than suggest that the honour system was rolled out without thinking about how the ‘modern’ player might react. Clearly the modern player feels it is appropriate and right to spoil the gaming experience for others, not once, not twice, but relentlessly. The rules make it ethical.
I’m fundamentally against changing anything in Classic, but I think this needs an intervention before people start quitting in huge numbers.
Honor gear doesnt exist. Pvp gear is already out. Bgs will not fix the wpvp issues for alliance. Should have leveled faster. My advice stick to instances/ grind in out the way locations

“PVE that way” - I think you’re mistaking what’s happening for PVP.
“Just because you don’t like it” - explain to me who, in the 50-59 level range, does enjoy it? Are people logging in specifically to be corpse camped and unable to move? Oh, it might be a bit of fun for the pack of 60s, sure, but a game mechanic that prevents a sizeable population from playing just to gratify others is fundamentally broken.
“…problem is soloists” - Holy Paladin <> soloist. By default, a healer isn’t really a soloist. But having said that, I don’t see why somebody playing solo should be unable to do so because of a flawed game mechanic.
The issue isn’t, I repeat, a PVP issue. It’s that what is currently passing as ‘PVP’ is breaking the game for large numbers of players. I’m looking forward to getting to 60 and taking part in some real PVP, both in the world and in battlegrounds. The problem is that the goal is currently impossible.
It’s how the game is. This is a fundemental part of the game. When bg’s get released it will lighten down. I’m levelling an alt on gehennas at lvl 50 now on alliance. I don’t care at all. I even grief horde levellers because they’re oversaturating the server. Stop with the dumb threads this is the least of classics problems idk how u cant see it.
If you don’t want WPvP the only solution is a PvE server
No I apologise in advance for being blunt - but that is the absolute top and tail of it - you Can’t pick and choose on a PvP server
So consider that when you are berating folk who bring some hard truths to you door
This is not Vanilla - this is Classic - and the community has made the decision to play this way - I think it is reprehensible - but they are entitled to do so
It is PVP make group and do same! #nochanges!
Or you could be smart roll on PVE and turn on PVP when you felt for it! and if you were camped etc just simply turn it off!

I have been grinding demons in Felwood from lvl 48. Works great with demonslaying enchant and they drop a lot of demonic runes. I do get ganked now and then but the south camp doesn’t have a lot of players passing by so maybe once per hour.
Im grinding while typing this The paladin is the best “grinding while watching youtube” class.

Why you rolled on pvp not willing to do pvp/fight back etc most of cry posts from alliance are from them being SOLO like SOLO not asking for help not making groups not making raids not working together as faction just selfish…
And this is like if you eat this “EXTRA NICE PIZZA” it will feel good but few hours later you will get sick or you could eat " NICE PIZZA" and it would feel good but not “EXTRA” but few hours later you would not mind go there again.

No you don’t. You like some fantasy about noble players engaging in a fair fight, which has never existed in any PVP game ever. Especially not in WoW. Any WoW player could have told you that it was going to be like this, and you rolled PVP anyway. The mistake is yours. Now reroll PVE.
