of course the boost is pay to win

look at how many players have boosted a lock or hunter, there are loads because of how good they will be performing in tbc, they will be topping the meters which many see as winning i.e pay 2 win

I think that is the worst part in a way
 that those who hate it, are simply ignored. It’s something which changes a system fundamentally, and yet the impact receives no recognition. Simply because it makes money.

Having a good name as a company, your playerbase having faith in your integrity and intentions matters. If only money matters, you’ve lost the game.

So based on this thinking if they add S1 and T4 into shop its not really p2w, because in time you can get it by playing just like 58 lvl?

Dont get me wrong, 58 boost is the only reason I am playing TBC, my only WoW interest is(and always was) in BGs and 2v2, levelling is torture to me, PvE too. Never been “its about path” person, not on my first character ever and definitely not now on like 25th
 But skipping like 4-5 days /played kinda IS p2w. Not as severe as buying set or having token, but that shortcut is still quite big.

Token is next level p2w, most disgusting thing ever added into shop. You buy token for money, turn it into gold, buy 2k rating / few raid boosts for gold you would otherwise farm for ages, get gear, stomp others


And I hate any kind of grind(other than honor) from gold, reps, achievs to XP - literaly everything which does not include killing other players. Yet I still consider token toxic for the game.

So far, nobody. I fully expect to wake up tomorrow to yet another 30 day ban. Whatever, this place is now an incessent storm of toxic back-and-forth between people who hate the deluxe edition mount and boost and those who don’t.
And frankly, I don’t care. Best expansion is coming in 2 days, I won’t come here much then anyway.
May you meet a lot of secret national socialists in your TBC travels, we are great company :wink:

  1. Blizzard never added gear to in game shop in retail.
  2. It would be borderline pay to win in my opinion, because T4 or S1, while perfectly obtainable through normal gameplay, would take inordinate amount of time and effort to get for “free” as compared to a purchase. A true pay to win would be selling S2 and T5, or higher iLvl S1/T4 in first phase.

Not really. Was in a guild in bwl phase that i learned was alt right/neonazi.(they said they were not politically correct at first lmao). many on the server with more street smarts than i, knew this. Seeing as almost everyone was bis geared and they had a hell of a time recruiting(obviously), i decided to stay til i got the gear i needed(took a few weeks,) and left. I even got Crul’shorukh just before i left.

Most people were toxic at most times, whiny regularly and had poor sense of humor. There was literally only one person that i half-way liked. A few times some of them would moan and cry about how much of a victim they are because of their whiteness as if they were auditioning to Victim Factor or something.
Can’t recommend.

I heard this kind of reply’s pretty often lately.

I literally have no idea what items you get with a boosted 58 char, but 
 let me say this :

My friend, came back in the pre-patch. Had a level 40ish or something Pala and decided to level it up to 60. All good, he did it. Then I asked him to come do a ZF Quest Run with my 40ish Shaman. His next reply was “Will I be able to survive?”. I was like “Wtf man, you are 60!”. Then he said “Yea well, I still have lvl 30 and lvl 40 items on me!”

I think at some point I inspected him and I even saw 2 lvl 20ish items or at least 1.

Point is, if the boosted 58 char gear is worst then lvl 30 and 40 items which you get while questing ( mostly ), then you are right. Else, you are very much : Wrong !

They need to confirm one way or the other as soon as possible. I don’t want to waste time levelling in BCC if I know I am one announcement away from never playing any Blizzard game at all.

If they ignore the issue I can pretty much assume that they’re planning on adding it, and don’t want to announce it before TBC hype reaches it’s peak, so as few quit as possible.

Hey, 30% of their player base already stopped playing their games just over 3 years, don’t think they can afford to lose anymore :wink:

We all known it would come at some point. Unfortunately already in TBC, my guess was wotlk.

Hopefully we have some true heroes already planning on next authentic servers for classic & tbc. Don’t wait with your plans, we’re many that will be ready once Blizzard drop the bomb.

Considering the amount of players currently buying gold and buying dungeon boosts and gdkp2w loots, i am not sure they have a lesson of integrity to get from their playerbase tbh
