Can we have a "boost" tab chat channel please

Who? i never payed for anything  i only investiaget the situation as well so does my friend. And after enough proof in our hand we made contact with a GM who passed foward the situation and highilgthed our tickects. Includign the forum thread what my friend made too about this situation.

The the truth is in most case cenarios when some is selling in game m+ or heroic and M raid loots and teh mounts, mostly when you whisper on the advertiser you reciev an auto whisp message with a discrod link or a third party site link. and thats the porblem.

I just can’t get over how strange buying a boost seems to me.

You pay to play with people.
Like idk, if we were kids, the buyers would be the most uncool kids who have to give candy to the cool kids just to play collateral damage at the cops and robbers game.

True, i still remmember the days that bots died in a pattern that spelled websites during vanilla.

yeah its shady.

I think Blizz needs to heavly monitorizing the trade chats including with the premade group tools with with teh selling, WTS, stuffs on them as well.

Didn’t mean shady tbh. More pathetic tbh.

There’s exceptions tho, someone playing the AH, getting mega rich, I can see that person’s fantasy as wealthy merchant that can afford the best dress and protection.

But a person that buys tokens for real money or pays real money for a boost, idk… that’s just beyond words for me but if I’d say something on it it would involve them returning their man card and getting a wuss pass instead.

Right. I knwo what you mean and i agree with you completly.

to be honest in my realm is totally the opposite, the last time i saw someone selling something for real currency it was before the introduction of the WoW Token, wich it’s been created on purpouse of fighting gold sellers.
Maybe it could be possibile that someone do it on high-pop international realms, but i highly doubt that the 90% of them do it for real currency, you just exposed a case and that doesn’t mean that all do the same.

If you write “wow boosting” into search there’s sites all over the first page that offer it, even paid ads advertising it.

Ergo, this phenomenon isn’t some niche behaviour anymore but has transformed into a half industry.

I think Blizzard should go full on mafia racketeering :cricket_bat_and_ball: on them, they’re essentially mooching off their product while paying nothing.

Yeah they should do that.

OPs idea is reasonable and Blizz should very much support it.

They are selling a trade, your key/their key on time for gold. They are advertising where they are supposed to.

I doubt a boost channel would be any more successful than the guild recruitment channel is. Like guild ads, they will continue to appear in trade. However unlike guild ads, boost selling does actually belong in trade.

You can make suggestions in game to suggest your channel though.

The problem is on busy realms you try to sell an item in trade and it’s gone in a second due to these sellers and contrary to what you think the majority sell it for real money.

Edit: I’ve reported them and they are always back very, very quickly. Personally I think Blizzard should run sting operations.

well. sadly they do. What do you think why is the trade chats are flooded and also the premade tool? You can say that dsoent mmean that all do the same. well do your own search then becasue according to my experiance both in game and both online they always do for cash. Yeah probably there were days when boost was more accurate for gold, but when some one is see a pontential cash flow from boosting others sure they will go full force on boosting for cash, there are very less players and groups and guilds remained who do teh boost for gold only. But i dont want to convince you at all. but i advice to do your sreach too, including in game and online. You will be shocked my friend. Basicly the boosters for gold are out of the in game business becasue of the real money ones. you know why? Because its cheaper then getting gold from wow tokens.

do a litle math one token is around 20 EU right? I dotn knwo for sure. that gives you around 178k ish (depends ofc) gold, thats just one token. wich is limited to 10 per a year per account. in game you can have the M jaina mount for 10 million gold (according to a US seller on teh Us forum) you to obtain that amount of gold in game through Blizz shop you have to spend around 650 Ero? well on the third party sites with discount you can buy the mount for around 400 Euro. and thats just the mount. but lets say you want the loot as well in game that cost you around 20m+ gold in that case you have to pay to Blizz at least more then 1300Euro,(to get it through a legit way) while on the other hand on the website you pay 800Euro. So who comes out way cheaper cosuing damage to blizzard financially too and also violating the terms of use? And also ruining the gaming experiance including the player base enthusiastic to reach their goal to obtain what they shoudl work for it in game.

Not to mention being competative is no longer a thing when anyone can buy the loot for real money, or by using bought gold. So its actualy damn sad. dont get me wrong i am not against who sells boosts for gold, its good for them, but sadly alot of other base sellign it for real money. And that sickens me.

OP talks about spam yet didnt use one of the already ongoing threads about this :thinking::thinking:

can you share the link pls?

sorry to break it to you peny, but if you /w any of these people you WILL automatically get forwarded to a disc or external site. then there will be a service for real money.

so yea, it may be a “legitimate” way to sell but blizzard know a LOT of these players are breaking ToS not to mention the LFG tool still is infested with boost sellers.

it’s beyond a joke.
