Obviously there are classes that will counter you, like a warrior, a mage to a paladin, or an afli to a mage, and the dk precisely counters you a lot because it is very good against magic damage, especially dots, but then the sp is very good against other classes like against paladins, you literally counter them too

Should be no such thing in a PVP mode.

Give me an example of a class that has a full immunity to damage and cc (AMS) against another specific class every 60 seconds or less, coupled with a disarm/silence, coupled with ANOTHER reduction of damage (amz) specifically against that class, another CC immunity against that specific class (lichborne), and another general damage reduction and immunity to stuns form that class (icebound fortitude).

I’ll be waiting for an example of a class countering another one the way DK counters sp.

There’s a difference between somewhat being stronger against a specific spec, or being mechanically built around immunities to one’s toolkit.

You say SP counters Pala. Does the SP toolkit nullify every damage and cc attempt from the pala? Nope. The pala will still be able to damage and cc the priest and have a fighting chance. The DK enters the arena, the first thing it uses is AMS and the priest can’t even put the dots up. You just stand there being beaten cuz there’s nothing else you can do. That’s the biggest difference

All those Casterbuffs and DK nerfs was the work of woke People, the reason we received nerf after nerf after nerf was the purple haired dev got killed by a dk when he/she/it was playing mage and the second reason was their beloved evokers

Yeah DK vs casters is some of the most unfair bull there is.
DK really has tons of anti-magic in their kit.
It’s rough; best hope is to be peeled, 1v1 I don’t think caster ever wins.

Decided to roll lock to comprehend wether casters are babies who don’t know how to play, or if they’re being legit.
As a Warrior player it is true the mobility is far easier than it used to be, but I can think of 3 lock spells that counter theirs; not to mention since I rolled Goblin I still have Rocket Jump.

I would, cuz shaman can break AMS with Lava Burst. What can you do as SP?

Better yet: give me an explanation on why AMS, which is a magic absorb, needs to have a magic immunity component? If it’s an absorb already why the hell it’s an immunity too?

EXACTLY. AMS with absorb an immune effects to magic damage and cc and on low cd, AMZ with magic damage reduction, Silence, multiple grips, ranged snares, direct interrupt, pet stun, pet interrupt option, IBF with damage reduction and stun immunty, heal absorb, lichborne providing fear immunity, and then most of its damage is ranged and hits like a truck. It’s a one man army

Oohh wrath, when a rogue could keep someone sapped for 14 seconds and stunned for another 12 and then a mage could sheep for another 14 and then the rogue stuns again. That was fun!! Right?

I think devs are walking the line between CC meta and zerg meta, that’s why every class gets more mobility and more roots and more immunities and more knockbacks and more precog and then less precog, and so on like a pendulum.

At the same time Mythic+ keeps getting more and more “KICK ME OR DIE” moments to keep up with the aoe cc, but then other classes end up needing more aoe cc to be competitive with the rest, and this creeps into PvP too because Blizzard would NEVER make Mythic+ “easier” unless they want to anger the Twitch pundits.

I really feel like if HP bar is enormous CC and resources should also have heavy drain and punishment. This is just from my perception who did play the past and present Cata. Retail feels strange. You can’t outplay anything anymore. They should flat out remove stuns and snares and make roots high CD. It feels so weird now.

DK’s were fine in Wrath after 3.0 rebalance.

Yes somehow i enjoyed chilling in 10 sec stunlock more than playing retail against any class.

Theres like no cc meta at all. You usually dont use cc to kill enemy but to stop their dmg and win on mana/damp. And since all cc has been only nerfed in past 15 years we’re doomed to play m+ in arena and who does more dmg wins. Basically Blizzard doesnt balance class design with pvp in mind at all and their decisions clearly show it.
