Can we please get the Elite Warfront set appearance from the upcoming Heroic Warfronts?

As the title suggest and as many of you already know by now, the Warfront sets have an “Elite” Appearance, that does not show in the Transmog collection tab, which can be obtained only by doing the Warfront Quest for the 370 ilvl gear once every cycle.

In other words, in the Arathi Warfront you can unlock one item from the Elite Appearance once every 3-4 weeks. And you have a chance to get a duplicate ( 3x Belt on my Cloth characters so far was one of the most disheartening things in WoW recently for me).

Now i don’t know about you, but when i saw the Arathi Warfront Alliance Plate set i thought it was the most beautiful set i have ever seen in WoW. Period.

I’m a fan of the more realistic approach to armor sets and it just hit all the right spots for me, bringing back that Warcraft 3 Footman vibe. So i’m doing my best to try and collect all the Elite items, but the thing is having a random chance once every 3 weeks for one of them to drop (which can be a duplicate) is starting to slowly eat away at my motivation.

Since Blizzard announced that there will be no new Warfronts in 8.2 and that we will get a Heroic version of our current Warfronts, my question is simple: Can we please get the Elite Warfront set appearance from the upcoming Heroic Warfronts?

I would love if they implemented this system where you have a chance of one of these items to drop by completing a Heroic Warfront, or by being able to collect let’s say for example a token at the end of a Heroic Warfront and you can trade 5x tokens for unlocking one of the appearances.

Am i the only one who would love something like this to be implemented to compensate for the one every 3 weeks slot machine, or is any one else on the same boat (get it, boat? Cause we have kul tir… ok i’ll just leave now).

Let me hear your thoughts.

EDIT: I edited out an example in my original post, since somehow most people in this thread understood that i want a PvP set, when PvP was never the point of this thread.

I’m confused.
Aren’t the 2 sets exactly the same ?

The worst part of this for me is that there’s no way to collect all the elite looks on the four armour types, even if you do the quest every time it is up. And that even if you never get a repeated piece, which can happen. So yes, I would love for the heroic versions to drop the elite sets. I too suck at PvP :grin:

No, different colour schemes. Just like the elite version of the darkshore is purple/black and gladiator is green/black.

Which one of the 2 elite sets the tab shows ? The arena one or the warfront one ?

No.
Elite set is elite set. It’s bad enough that it was lowered to 1800 rating from 2k.

For me it shows the arena. Green shoulders, green belt and green eyes glow.

Elite set is dark purple glow.

The elite warfront set is different to the elite pvp set. Same model but different colours.

I personally think this sounds like a great idea. Still some rng, but a lot less painful.

Blizz completely messed up, none of the sets show properly :smiley: …

Darkshore is showing elite set for me, but not the warfront variant.

While darkshore shows me elite, but its normal variant and doesnt show me warfront variant.

That would be correct.

The warfront elite set is not exclusive to the season like the gladiator set. You can get it throughout the expansion through the cache that is rewarded upon first completion each cycle.

This applies to the arathi set as well. You just have no proper indication which pieces you actually have.

My original post wasn’t very detailed so the set i was talking about, which can only be obtained once per Warfront cycle (~3 weeks) via the Warfront Quest is this one (TIER 3 - this set does not appear on your Collection Tab for whatever reason):

It looks like the Elite PvP set that you get at 1800 rateing, but has different colors

The set that you get via completing warfronts/killing Arathi Highlands rares is this one (TIER 2):

I cannot share links on the forum, but please search “Elite Warfront Sets” on google and you will notice how the Helm, Shoulders, Gloves, Belt, Pants, Boots and Cloak are more detailed on the Tier 3 set.

This is the one i’m suggesting to be included in Heroic Warfronts as a reward, or at least as a way to obtain it not the PvP version that is 1800 S1 rating

On the other hand, isn’t the player base in pvp much skilled than before, with really no new players coming and only the more experienced ones staying?

Indeed.
But lowering rewards doesn’t bring in new people, it just punches your current playerbase in the face since they’ll feel cheated.

Surely you got to lower the rating treshold so that the elite set doesn’t become harder to get when there’s more competition in a given rating?

What is the point of getting high rating in the first place then?
