I always see people saying stop pugging and join comunitys or competitive guilds.
Yet makes me question:

1. Do they test every person that joins to see if he is good enough?
2. Don’t they lack healers and tanks same as in LFG.
3. Do they kick people from those communitys that are plain toxic or leave at first wipe in dungeon?
4. Where do you find these communitys that do that.

Sure. That is a community wide problem. But in communities other tanks than VDH’s getting also a chance.

Mind Sears target cap is 20 like mages also is. They’re all soft capped to 20.

All abilities which are “uncapped” are target capped to 20. Mind sear isn’t target capped

The issue is fire mages can front load all their damage in a burst while shadows is a pulsing Damage over time through a channel. So the shorter the monsters live for the worst spriest damage looks and the better burst damage looks.

But u can’t turn a mage into a dot based class just so it feels equal and you can’t make DoTs do a stupidly high tick damage to fix the problem either or Ur gonna be stupidly broken in raids.

But that’s the fact, DoT based DPS have never excelled in m+ quite litterally espically in keys beneath like 16.

There’s no cure to that problem at all.

It’s the same with arcane mage. It don’t work well in m+ due to it being primarily only good in ST.

You can’t just replicate every change to every class you will reach a point where every class plays the same, all they can do is ensure every class is capable of doing the key. And they are.

today i saw a fire mage doing 120k on loves in the air boss in SFK

I’ve not seen any mage managing that in m+ or current content. The highest burst I’ve seen a mage reach was about 19k.

All I’m saying is the mage was utilising something to drive his damage that far up, it’s statistically not possible to do that level of damage without doing so.

I’d be interested in seeing the logs to that fight to see what he was doing because that weren’t his class managing that.

120k DPS would floor the boss in a second if not less.

Mages do less then a 1/6th of their burst in sustain throughout those fights. If u look fight to fight u will see the mage flux between the top and the bottom of the DPS because of that.

It seems insane to me u want to floor a class because u don’t like it. Fire mages burst is fine because it’s sustain is so low it balances out the classes damage overall.

I’ve yet to see a mage be 20% overall DPS above me. They generally burst like 19k. But on the overall DPS of a dungeon entirely they do 7-8k DPS overall like tons of other classes.

You can’t decide Ur class is bad at m+ so another class should also be bad in m+.

PvP and PvE are balanced seperately they’ve been issuing nerfs to mages In PvP. Maybe not enough but the PvP nerfs will come

But the PvP changes don’t affect PvE lol… so what you hoping for here? Using PvP to nerf PvE? May of worked in 2012 when wow couldn’t balance them seperately.
