This is my 3th day (from Monday till Wednesday) having exact same problems (error/connection issue/trace check) as you all. Also i was not able to write on the EU forums due to this ISSUE.
So i asked for help from my internet provider. They changed my IP address and miraculously now i can play normally (but whit whit some time out).

So yea ppl our IP was blacklisted from Blizz. Change your IP and play the game.
Btw Blizzard i do want some reparations for the lost time and that was your problem that i needed to resolve.
