The latest is… They working on it… The same as it was last year… To be honest I think it’s Intentional of them… Since otherwise they WOULD have gotten the issue fixed by now as its on 8 months and going since the issue cropped up.
Same issue here, trying to purchase a boost from the EU on US servers. This is beyond a joke at this point. Pretty obvious there’s something else preventing the issue being “fixed” as this was a non issue back when 110 boosts were available. My money is on some kind of tax issue or they simply want to pad out sub numbers to get people leveling “normally” before Shadowlands hits.
There is possibility that such system exists because many players are “abusing” lower prices of other countries and for example, buying game in my country will take 5% of my salary, but due to exchange rate if i will buy the same game for eu region but on ukraine/russian website i can buy the same thing for 2% of my salary. I’m not sure but i understand that way.
Trying to change guild name. still no fix on this……….
same here, this was discovered from me more than six months ago, leaving in the US and playing on a European server ever since. two tickets later, last about 3 months ago, we still on square one, apparently this appears to be a major challenge for Blizzard. Not sure exactly when it stopped working, but it did before, there are even more purchasing issues, more or less have the same issue.
you should think, issues who have an impact on revenue get fixed faster, but apparently this seem not to be the case.
Ok this is getting kind of silly now. This thread has been open since before December 2019. It’s now June 2020, just over 6 months. This issue can’t be that complicated to fix. As a paying customer, I would like an eta on fix time. Don’t give us a blanket answer of it will be fixed soon or it is in discussion. We all understand and appreciate that current circumstances are making it more difficult to resolve issues but 6 months… c’mon stop pulling the wool over our eyes. We are not stupid just tell tell us if you’re going to fix it or not. I’ve worked in IT on first line support for 15 years and I just hate giving avoidance answers as it makes us look like we don’t know what we are doing. Confidence is dropping further and further not just on this issue but with many of the issues with Activation Blizzard as a whole.
Would love an update on this - can’t buy a boost because I’m in another region and I’ve been waiting months to do so.
Hi there, was just wondering if any more progress was made on this issue? I super appreciate your response here!
Yes. Do you guys actually plan on offering decent customer service anytime soon or are we going to keep pretending this is an issue that takes 9 months to fix?
Hey all,
Yes, this is still being worked on. Deploying a change that touches on so many systems is time consuming. In the meantime you can contact us through Support and we can review the situation with you.
Can’t you just make it available on the website like everything else you can purchase in game is?
Why you can’t just purchase it on the website makes zero sense to me. You can do that with literally everything else. That would fix the problem itself even if only you go to the website.
This issue is still going on, can’t purchase a level 120 boost from EU account, residing in USA at the moment (if it helps with a possible shortcut for the issue)
Still cant buy been 8 months now??
The fact that this has taken close to 3/4 of a year to resolve a seemingly simple problem makes 0 sense. The simplest way to handle this would be the way that any company handles international purchases where you just convert the currency from Euros to whatever the local currency is, in my case from Euros to USD and to make the boost purchasable from the website rather than just in game. This would circumvent the issue of people exploiting the currency differences as well as any issues with it being an in client purchase. The amount of profit that are being lost from people who don’t have the time to level an alt, like me and I’m sure many others here, should be pushing this to a higher priority issue. Makes 0 sense why this has taken close to a year to fix this issue.
A lot can seem simple when not everything is known about an issue. As I’ve mentioned before in this thread, if you run into this problem please contact Support who can look into it with you.
As the saying goes, there’s more than one way to skin a cat.
Then can you be more transparent about what the actual issue is rather than us having to guess what it is. As well as let us know what is being done to get this resolved
I wish there was an ETA on a solution.
From recent events of technical issues happening it seems to me the “systems” inside Blizzard entertainment are a big entagled web that turned into chaos.
untangle the mess guys - Make the modules simple. It’s always possible to make everything complicated but why.
i dont even think that has anything to-do with technical challenges after all this time, who ever does the code should look for another income opportunity since he/she sucks by doing that, not even to mention the managers overseeing this tasks. i think more important, it is seen as a Game only, not as a product too, can you imagine this would be a car; we dont really know when your headlight start working again, in fact we dont know, or we dont want to tell you, there is also no deadline to fix this, well. you can still drive during the day, no big deal.
