My tauren don’t shows up. Sad moo
Log out of forum, close computer, turn on, log in to WoW, play Wow with preferred toon, close down totally again. Turn on everything. Log back into forum. Now he’s there, if not a hard refresh: CTRL + f5 should do trick.

I’ve tried all that and it doesn’t work for me. I even levelled her up a level.
The last thing I won’t do which is change my password as it wants an overly complicated one.

Well it has worked for me two times I had this problem - also for non-update problems. Your case special one, Dottie

But make one complicated password, it’s not impossibly difficult.

It is when you try to remember it. The password I wanted is complicated with Capitals, a number, and punctuation marks and it wouldn’t accept it. It’s not even a real word.
If you only use 1 device, you don’t need to remembered it. Next time you need to login, just reset again. With the added benefit of updating your characters.
Except I wouldn’t be able to change it back to what it was, as it’s a simpler password than the one I wouldn’t let me change it to that it called weak but wasn’t.
Btw I just looked again and this time all my characters are gone and all that’s there is my battletag.
I have same now Must be bug. No characters.
I have the same problem. When I clicked on Change Character, only my Battle Tag is displayed but no characters.
On my phone I logged out and then logged in to try to fix the issue and I lost access to all characters. I can no longer post using my phone, it says that I need a level 10 character. And I have lots of 10+ characters.
I opened a ticked and started a topic on the technical support forum. Feel free to write about your issue in the same topic:

Now I have option to change to my long time not played Retail character 
Made June 2019, is still level 11, to post here long ago. Crazy.
My retail characters have reappeared. Still waiting for the Classic characters though.

I logged out thinking it was me and couldn’t choose any character for over a day.
I did open a ticket about it and they knew it was a problem but failed to mention it anywhere.
It’s back to how it was but I still can’t choose my Classic Dottie.
None of us can choose Classic Characters. Retail only 
Not re-choosing for character I not played for 4 years.
