You don’t like the extra chance for gear…?
Of course players are forced into PVP if it’s a way to get a second tier piece in the same week, it’s not the first time Blizz has tried to do this and it’s not well received on the whole.
But what if it is active only in PvP as he said? If it can’t be used in PvE what is the use of it for PvE players?
If they would finally truly separate the two activities it would please a lot more people or like I said previously just remove tier/disable it for PvP. Have conquest gear and it’s own bonuses that don’t work in PvE.
Honestly I don’t even care if it’s fully separated or not. I would prefer it being not separated, so it’s easier for a pvp player to engage in PvE and vice-versa. Not everything in the game needs to be perfect and stress free for hardcore raiders. Imo, most of them wouldn’t even get to the rating anyway, where they can get the enough ilvl. I think the game is better, if they make the game good all season and not only the first week for raiders
Forcing PVE players into PVP or forcing PVP players into PVP is never good for the game.
It’s a horrible outdated practice that needs to go for good.
Nobody is forcing anything, if the gear from pvp is worse for pve than pve gear. If you think you need veteran ilvl from PvP, then go get it, but it’s not the game’s fault. I think the game is better anyway, if pve players just have to grind that 1000 conquest for 2 or 4 piece tier set tbh. It’s good for the pvp side of the game and good for people liking both. It’s also good for M+ players, who would like to have tier pieces too, but don’t wanna raid. The only population for whom this is an inconvenience are hardcore progression raiders.
It is the same for both sides, PVP players complain like hell when they have to do PVE. Nobody likes it. This is not some one sided thing.
I prefer it when PvP gear is totally ineffective in PVE and vice versa. It was far better when we had a specific pvp stat.
Have you seen any evoker pvper complain about having to ger legendary in season 2? No. It was by far the best weapon. Also, the thing is that pvp gets treated like trash by blizzard, so a pvp player has so low ilvl, he wouldn’t get accepted into normal raids, while a pve player almost has conquest gear ilvl.
If you care though: In season 2 Dragonflight PvP mythic raid/m+ gear was BIS, because it is higher ilvl than honor gear, and conquest is capped early. I have not seen a single complaint about it in the forums.
I have seen lots of PvP players complain throughout various expansion that they have to do PVE.

Give me examples. I don’t see any complaints about 2h axe legendary for example. Pvp players are low maintenance good customers, who get treated like 2nd class players
I get your point, but i mean don’t you get a token for reaching 2K Rio OR a certain PvP Rating which then can be traded into a set item?

Including gloating ones where the PVP players are delighted when PVE players were forced into PVE for their Essences in BFA
And there someone would have to additionally sacrifice either pvp for pve. Don’t you see the issue? I’m now 1950 rio, so I get insane gear next vault from pve, but I can’t even try progressing pvp, if I wanna be at least a little bit competitive in both. A pvp vault is extremely impactful early. I’m gonna be at least 3 conquest pieces behind in week 2, if I still wanna play pvp. A system where I need 2 chars to play is trash. Some people just enjoy playing their class in any type of content. The content I enjoy the least is raid atm.
Then Transofrm that into Tier set, i mean Conquest pvp is 489 and PvE Vault is 483(?) so, sure it’s 6 ilvl lower in PvP but better then missing out on either, isn’t it?
Yes, ofc, but let’s say I get a bis trinket in the vault for pve or a bis weapon worth 2 pieces. This gearing system is just bad anyway with very narrow tunnel vision thinking
That is absolutly true, i also think that having tho chose either between PvE or PvP Vault is bad design, but i mean so far it’s announced to be changed in the new Expansion.
How is it good having a team mate that doesn’t want to be there, has no intention of improving and doesn’t care if you win or lose?
