Yeah, a pity it ended up with immortal god resto druids with iceblock or deterrence, or ferals with dispersion.
Name one defensive that’s on par with anything a ret paladin has?
Name one defensive that’s on par with anything that a rogue has?
Name one defensive that’s on par with anything that a Demon Hunter has?
Every single warrior defensive (There really is only two. Enraged Regen (which requires us to hit our target to be useful) and Die by the Sword) is inferior to any other defensive in the game.
…And arms has none. Die by the Sword doesn’t really even count because it doesn’t do anything against the majority of classes. It only really works against rogues and other warriors, the prior of who will probably just CC you during it or simply vanish, making it worthless.
Not the one that outhealed you forever in mists of pandaria. I’m talking about the Wotlk version. “Whenever you are struck by a stun or immobilize effect you will generate 20 rage and heal for 10% of your health over 10 seconds”. That combined with the Wotlk version of “Blood Craze” aka “Regenerates 6% of your health over 6 seconds after being the victim of a critical Strike” would be perfect.
Combine that with the re-introduction of the old defensive stance and shield block / revenge / 1h+Shield equip macro and you’ve suddenly way increased the skill ceiling of Arms Warriors.
It would take some skill to know when to play defensive, when to kite enemy players so your Blood Craze and 2nd Wind can heal you up some and when to go back to battle stance and pressure your opponent.
We don’t really need Berserker Stance, tbh. Just Battle+Defensive would be enough.
No idea, do not play those classes so don’t even know what their defenses are.
So that means they have defenses. In contrary to your claim they had none. No Idea how weak die by the sword is considering i do not play arms but imo enraged regeneration is pretty strong.
I just mentioned them. There’s only die by the sword for arms, which does nothing and Enraged Regeneration which is, essentially, a scuffed shield wall that requires us to actually land hits on our target to heal up which never happens against anyone with half a brain because they’ll just CC us the second they see us pop it.
If your defensives are so weak that you might just as well not have them at all then you essentially already have none.
All that that means is that you don’t know how to fight fury warriors. It’s hilariously easy to counter.
i loved the rock-paper-scissor concept that vanilla/TBC where each class had its own set of tools to bring rather then slightly altered copy-past sets that class have nowadays.
i also loved that even if you were scissors and faced rock you didn’t instantly lose.
…unlike facing a ret paladin these days, as a warrior.
profession gave you pebbles, confetti and razors to wrap around those paper, scissors and rocks to flavor it.
Killing frost mages as warrior because your health potion outplayed his mana pool.
Did you actually listen to what Ion said in the video. He said they went too far with pruning, but he still stands by having to move away from the bloated and homoganized state of classes of MoP.
Suggesting they will return to a state of class design they still denounce because they have changed their mind about a few things due to backlash(ignoring the far more things they kept despite backlash) is just a logical fallacy.
You can go ahead and try to bring back elements from MoP you liked but expecting or requesting a full rollback, especially for specs with very different identities, ain’t gonna happen.
It provides 30% damage reduction. Make the case for warrior having a low amount of defensive options, because it’s true, but don’t go into DbtS being standalone so bad, because it’s not.
Ah, yes then I’m down for it. But the MoP one ? Hell naw.
Which would be decent if we had some form of self heals to keep us up. Which we don’t. It only delays us dying by about 3-5 seconds.
So it is bad compared to BoP. Or Divine Shield. Or Lay on Hands. Or Shield of Vengeance. Or Evasion. Or Iceblock. Or Karma. Or Ring of Peace. Or Turtle. Or… well, you get the point.
I did when I explained why I want stance dancing, Blood craze and old 2nd wind back.
All my crossover abilities.
MoP disc priest please.
pipe dream would be to get symbiosis back on druid, but that’ll never happen since balancing it was a nightmare.
Yes please.
We are just speculating at this point, we have no clue about how this will comes out.
But yeah i have to say that i fear this too, during TBC for example, Warlocks had different curses, but a Shadow Damage specced Lock (mostly talented in Demo) didn’t really used them on a raid environment, the only one worth using was Curse of Elements and Corruption (wich didn’t overwrited the curses, not bein one of them), their roation was basically keeping CoE and Corruption on the target, enpowering Death Coil by spamming Shadow Bolt 10 times and then cast Death Coil, the other curses was something niche.
So yeah, it’s possible that this will work out by giving us some niche spell wich in most environment will not give any advantage at all
I have only a small request relating classes;
Turn back time to MoP, thank you, grazie, kiitos.
That’s rather insulting. Yes, of course I did.
I didn’t actually hear him nail his colours to anything. If you found some specific thing to take comfort from, please do quote it here.
AFAICS, he managed to say nothing while implying everything, which is an impressive performance. His fluffy generalisations, and example of Altered Time, one niche ability, could mean anything - or nothing.
Adding a few buttons back would not fix anything. It would not bring back Survival or Combat. It would not bring back the sense of being a mage, not a Government-defined slice of a mage.
You feel free to advocate for what you want. I’ll do the same.
Word of Glory and Shield of Righteousness. Auras. Re-introduce holy power. Turn Evil and so on.
Frostfire Bolt!!!
Hey You
