So copy retail rules, redesign every raid for modern standards. MC normal, BWL heroic, AQ40 heroic/mythic and Naxx only on mythic difficulty.
Those are old raids. We know them, they have by modern standards trash low difficulty, trash mechanics and quite often drop trash loot. Plus Rag or KT doesnt have any “omg” factor to it after all these years.
All the redesign rules is explicitly presented in my prev. message.
Recheck it please.

Well naxx wont be a faceroll, since people will lose the current advantage of class, talent itemization.
We play the version which is tuned for naxx.
So i dont think that 10% will se the end of it, considering only 0.1% saw it originally
No, there is zero there. Aside of lack of wbuffs there is nothing meaningful. Also bosses like viscidus have around 35% clear for guilds that killed the first boss. Not everyone is sweaty min/maxer.
You add HP to bosses - top guilds will speed run naxx and laugh from your stupidity while normal guilds will either lack signups and then lack active players for slow boring raids or will just struggle. They will have to remove casuals from raid groups.
You add more damage - vanilla already has a problem of low HP pool to damage ratio. Same thing will happen. More min/maxing to clear the content if at all. Not to mention less pugs or Rio for classic.
Stop forcing Classic into sudo-vanilla. It never supposed to be. And if you want challenge go play mythic raids. That’s the only difficulty for the top %. Or wait fir TBC where it already starts to change.
Players dumbed it down.
By using BIS lists giving us higher quality gear sets pre-raid that most classes had after farming MC in Vanilla. By collecting Dragon Slayer, DMT, Songflower, Heart of Hakkar, Warchief Blessing, DMF, and loads of consumables. Some people spend more time pre-raid collecting buffs than the actual raid takes. We use addons and have WeakAura scripts for just about everything that an happen. Youtube, streams, guides, all maxed out strategies for every encounter. There are complicated spreadsheets calculating every items and DPS output.
And you blame Blizzard for making it to easy?

Currently guilds compete on who is facerolling the fastests on the server.
Faceroll raids is not fun, same as world buffs.
kek?

Yes. Faillizard is here to be blamed.
Learn how to make a game fun from private servers.
Example: warmane, who tunned each 2-3 weeks their raids, according to the overall average gear on the server.

Wow vanilla was never hard, even back then it was called the game for casuals. Just 'cause you were so damn awful back then doesn’t mean it was ever hard.
People back then did little to no damage and even then, world 50 guilds were able to kill Kael Thuzad within 25 tries.
Blizzard has asked us for tuning and you guys wanted no changes so deal with it

Don’t make everyone fool.
When I call most of the forum community here are brain dead, I don’t say that everyone are. There are still clear minded people, though they mostly prefer to be silent, i guess.
To make 2004 wow look perfect in 2020, as it was back then - changes should be made.
Even though blizzard from 2004 did a good job, so even now this game is still very good.
I guess many peeople that required no changes, were just so dissapointed in the current Faillizard and asked them not to do at least anything, because they will fail anyways they do.
Others compete on clearing it with 40 moonkins. Why do you care how others play the game? I play in a normal guild on a PvE realm and we opened gates yesterday. We clear MC in just above 1h and we don’t class stack nor do we exclude by performance. Same is true for most other guilds. You change that and you will force those guilds to either minmax or to disband from lack of players due to boring raids.

It will still be a face roll…
People WILL min-max everything…
This is what was said about AQ… “People will struggle with AQ” > it’s the challenging raid, alongside Naxx…
At the end of the day, if people know how to MIN-MAX… you are going to steamroll through the content.
People who thought vanilla was going to be a challenging experience were born under a rock. If you want a real PvE challenge, go play retail and do the mythic raids or try other games. PvE content in all expansions up to the present are going to be facerolled because everyone knows the tactics.
The reason we play (well I at least) vanilla is not because of a challenge, rather I want to experience the atmosphere of a MMORPG game. Granted this atmosphere has also been severely eroded because of bots and boosting metas, but vanilla WoW is still, sadly in many ways, the best way to experience an actual MMORPG.

Vanilla gets rolled over, because it has barely any tactics.
It was mostly gear fights.
You wouldn’t stomp over mythic KJ, even whilst knowing tactics for instance.
That’s called speed running. It’s a popular activity in many games. It’s a way to compete with other players in pve.
I don’t normally come to the defense of Blizzard, but the only part they are responsible for is having 1.10 itemization and 1.12 talents from the very beginning in Phase 1, which made MC trivial (well…more trivial than it already is).
Now we are in Phase 5 where these items and most of the talents were available in Vanilla anyway.
The rest? It’s down to the players. Raiding with all world buffs/flasks is essentially turning a raid into LFR/Looking For Raid difficulty from Retail.
I’ve witnessed grown men, actual man-children throw a fit on Discord comms because they lost a buff or got killed on the way to the instance. They genuinely believe that’s their raid ruined.
Is mankind devolving? I remember in Vanilla we occasionally had a well-timed Ony head, but that was it. It was never a god-given requirement.

You want a challenge go do +15 mythic plus or mythic raiding. You’re blinded by ignorance. Vanilla was never difficult.

Lets just pray that TBC becomes more difficult.
15 year ago I tanked Nax as a full prot, Def / Block stacked warrior
Today that would be unheard of - people have micro managed, theorycrafted, nit picked the absolute bones of the game to maximise their characters - this wasn’t done 15 year ago and anyone who says it was is bull, the game is not easier or tuned down to vanilla, its the community that have min maxed the life out of it.
Classic needed patch progression. I hope they will do that in TBC.
