I think there’s this little charactertic both camps forget :

In classic often forced by game social interactions also help people to make contact, who normally are not very open - be it due irl introversy or generic social anxiety. It helps them, even when for others there’s no difference and cannot see how classic differs from this POV

However retail is exactly the same open and free for making friends, but it requires people to be more willing themselves. Its something that more introvert people are hesitant to be. And it is ok too to be like that as we do not choose the character traits we have. I am a village idiot, been on server since eternity - I can say a troll line on general and I hear jokes back. But if you new to game - you say something on general you… hardly might get anyone say anything.
So no classic is not generally better (as its same regardless - easy to make contact) for people, who are open, chatty or “village idiots” like I am, but classic is more helpful to those, who are hesitant to make the 1st move (met such shy people already and us inviting them to group makes them easier to ask questions about game etc).
There’s again no need to go with this retail vs classic player types nonsense. I play classic, I play retail. I raid mythics in retail, and I will raid MC in classic. I talk with people in classic and in retail, I have friends who only like classic and those who hate classic with passion. And trust me idiots exist on both retail and classic. Like on forums here I can say both sides have trolls and immature forum warriors. Because this is what internet is - and classic and retail people are exactly the same.

The lack of necessity of communicating makes people communicate less.
When you want a group, you talk to people, same for pvp or dungeons or any event, in retail you just queue up and you don’t ever need to communicate or talk in any way.

People choose to use LFG/LFD tool because it is convenient and then with the same breath they cry for the loss of community and social interaction .
The option to team up and do stuff together is still there people just choose the path of least resistance .

What’s it to you? It doesn’t concern you what other people like/dislike, and tbh, I’m not really sure what the point is you’re trying to make? People like classic, it’s just been released, it’s natural. But why are you getting all butthurt? It’s got nothing whatsoever to do with you.

That is not necessarily true. When you sign up to do HC pug or m+ more often than not you are asked to come on Discord. You actually talk to people and coordinate. Many people are complaining now how in Classic people just for grp for elite quest , do it and just leave without a word. It has nothing to do with BFA or Classic. Players are just that way. Nothing stops you from communicating and making friends on retail. Same way nothing forces you to communicate and make friends on Classic. You can see on streams so many people just play Classic solo, leveling that way. Never talking to anyone, never grouping with anyone (maybe to jump layer).
Yeah, nothing helps you, either…

Well ye. Its a choice. Your personal choice. If you want to make friends, being it Classic, BFA or IRL, its up to you. If you go to a party or something like that and just sit alone avoiding talking to anyone, are you really surprised you arent meeting new people or making friends.

What do you mean the first big 3? There is only early WoTLK, everything else is pure trash.
vanilla, tbc, wotlk are regarded as best ones. You might not like wotlk but it still was most popular wow has ever been.
So would you take a Wrath era version over Classic?
