Yeah, I gave up. I’m just going to let the numbers do the talking. As i’m sure I seen a record number of people are back, just for classic not retail.
So, I will pet them live in their bubble world aha.
I don’t get why so many ppl feel the need to tell me that I actually don’t enjoy classic, that my enjoyment is fake and delusional. Geez, if you don’t enjoy classic then don’t play it, but why do you want others not to? Let’s just say goodbye and then you can scurry back to bfa and let me enjoy classic in peace.
Good on you, contradicting yourself mate.
Read a good half the thread, all I see from OP is this:
“Waaa waaa waaa someone doesn’t like the same thing as me, waaa waaa waa because of that it’s trash and what I like is better.”
Seriously, if you don’t like Classic, don’t like any aspects of it, whatever, don’t play it, don’t come to the forums. It’s THAT simple. It really is! If you prefer BFA over Classic, that’s ok as well! But what’s also ok, is people not liking it and choosing to play Classic, however you don’t see those people going over and going waaa waaa on the Retail forums.
Opinions, preference, it’s part of life, we may not agree, but doesn’t mean we can’t have them. You stay in your lane and Classic fans will stay in theirs.
Don’t waste your energy on classic fanboys, they intentionally don’t understand what you are trying to say, because otherwise they would have to admit that they are the ones who screwed up retail for themselves while the developers only provided tools for easier player interaction.
People are already blaming the lfg tool for lack of player interaction which is the most laughable thing ever. Because “LFG for xy” -> invite -> getting quest done -> kicked from the group is sooo much more social than retail is. Socializing on classic is just an illusion, real socializing happens in guilds, which is still a thing on retail as well. It’s not the games fault that people decide to not join guilds and then cry that pug groups are not treating them like best friends, again, it’s still the same on Classic.
It’s not the developers fault that lfr only contains xy amount of people shouting idiot at each other for everything, it’s the community’s fault. Same thing is true about every group in the lfg tool. Sure, BfA has a few sh*t systems that makes the game worse, but the lack of player interaction can’t be blamed on the game and the devs.
It’s not the developers fault that lfr only contains xy amount of people shouting idiot at each other for everything, it’s the community’s fault
I wonder if newer game features shaped the community and what it expects in any way, shape or form?
So go play retail if that’s your opinion? Nobody is forcing you to play Classic if you don’t like it or don’t think it’s worthwhile or whatever. But what do you actually expect with these stupid replies anyway? That someone is actually going to come over and change their mind because random Classic hater says so? Yea sure mate, like that’s gonna happen.
Look at the top of his head
Why are all trolls on these forums variants of elves?
Trolls are a form of elf apparently
Having fun is a personal choice…hahahaha.
You’re a special kid.
Vanilla required a more holistic playing style from players. To PvE you had to go out there on the map and expose yourself to PvP, to PvP you needed gear so you had to engage in PvE, for both you needed currency and resources so you had to play a part in the realm’s economy, the list can go on. The ability ceiling wasn’t high on any single aspect, but the fact that you had to engage in all of them and each required a different human skillset, it allowed for more than one type of player to be successful at the game, but also muddied the waters as to what success even is.
Contemporary WoW has essentially become an uni-dimensional action game where the only meaningful skill is mechanical execution, with anything else made irrelevant over time all in the name of “fun”. Success is well-defined, streamlined and metered, like points in arcade game.
This sentence right here sums up retail, You CHOOSE whether to be a Single silent player or a Chatty Social player.
In Classic communication is almost a necessity but at the same time a silent person in BFA will be a silent person in Classic.
The fact is that ultimately the player decides whether to talk to people or not.
The method of how you got the group is irrelevant.
Whether you stood in SW/Org yelling “LFM Dire Maul” or Signed up to a group in the LFG tool both resulted in you basically ending up in a group of random people.
What happens after the initial group-up method is then down to the party.
All this chat about how “Social” classic is ridiculous, I remember being in groups with people and they hardly said anything sometimes and other times people were chatty and friendly.
The delusion is strong with this one.
But thank you, I needed a good laugh this morning.
This part is true, but it was always the case for WoW and pretty much any other game ever created, even if you’re semi-competitive and semi-casual.
I pray for you that you’re joking. If you played up until at least level 20 on Classic you wouldn’t be laughing at how the core mechanics of the game are completely different.
So what I’m basically seeing here is an unpleasant and insecure OP who somehow feels the need to validate his agenda of Retail>Classic on the Classic forums.
How immature.
Because some people feel the only way they can validate the thing they like is by invalidating something else that someone else likes.
It’s annoying and pathetic.
Yeah. I agree with you.
People themselves need game mechanics to FORCE them to want to be cooperative and nice. When they aren’t forced - they prefer to be jerks.
And THEN they blame nothing else but sharding for being at fault - sharding that has literally nothing to do with this.
That’s funny. As a warlock who has only just hit 40, I haven’t once felt the NEED to be social or have been FORCED to interact with people if I didn’t feel like it. The more of this topic I’ve read, the more I laughed though, than you for entertainment at work
My 2 cents - the game’s cool. So far I’ve enjoyed it, primarily because I really hate the story direction, art direction and content direction of BFA. Thankfully I could not care less about the social aspect, and for me there is not that much of a jarring change when switching to classic. Ive met nice people, met awful people, made small talk and remained quiet, just like I did in BFA. So far I’ve yet to see any noticeable difference for better or worse, so I won’t judge.
