This was given as an option a while ago, but what do you guys think about an option for Classic Plus? The idea would be that Classic continues, and new content, raids, quests and gear sets would be added.

I have no reason to believe activision blizzard would do a good job, so thatās a no thanks from me.
I would be in favour of + so long as they kept to the original blueprint of classic. Some of the things Vanilla WOW did very well was keeping certain raids and dungeons relevant even up to the start of TBC. People still do ZG for enchants, people still do MC for bindings, people still do BWL for some of the bis/prebis items there, same for AQ and they even made some of the dungeons relevant having them drop skill books.
If they did go down this route I would also like to see some changes to world buffs, and possibly expand upon some offmeta class ideas.
So long as they donāt destroy previous content while adding new content like they did in TBC onwards then itās all good. Probably not going to happen though, best thing that could happen to this game is it becomes abandonware and the real fans make a version for the fans.
Well PVP is already out of control with Naxx gear being introduced, I wouldnāt mind them balancing that. How that looks though is questionable, do they add similar equivalent PVP rewards, if they do that they nerf Naxx content, so something else then⦠Maybe adding PVP gear rewards that could only be used in battlegrounds.
They could add items to the game that are just interesting rather than stat boosters, thatās 1 of the best things about earlier WOW is the itemization, compared to retail where everything is a mindless stat booster without any interesting proc effects or possibility of an interesting build.
Iād be interested in it. They could open Karazan as a 10 man raid. The loot should not be better then tier 3 but could contain some rings, neck, trinkets and other rare items or fun items.
They could open Mount Hyjal and make it a questing place and have PvP objectives.
There are also other places like that big gate in Azshara behind the Furbolg camp.
And another gate in the south of Tanaris behind some elite giants. This could be a cool dungeon with a dwarf theme.
In EPL there is a road which is blocked by logs. And in Winterspring down in darkwhisper gorge there is a green portal behind some bars. This could be a new raid with tier 4 potential.
Maybe introduce one (just one!) daily quest for PvP. Kill 5-10 people and get a few pots and some gold as reward.
How would you even balance this?
PvP after Naxx is gonna be a mess, unless you nerf previous gear⦠people are going to be literally tapping a player and itāll kill them.
People will run ZG forever to get the enchants and mount. Others join for pre bis and rep. You see a mix of people doing that.
They could add more middle tier stuff dungeon/raids and throw in some ultra rare mount and some small upgrade enchant and people will farm it every reset forever.
A raid tier between BWL and AQ would be very popular.
I donāt mind classic plus but I have doubts on how it will be executed ā¦
Iām in the āI donāt trust Modern Blizzard to do a good job with Classic+ and would rather just have TBCā camp.
TBC is the āgood enoughā option but as I am a degenarate gambler Iām willing to take the risk of a Classic+.
Anyway I think we passed the asking period now. A Classic+ takes time to develop, so if it isnāt already done then itās way too late now to be a thing.
So Classic+ā¦
The part of Classic that is called TBC.
What part of the Lore should they adress, where would the story go?
What zones should open/added.
Tier sets? Should all specs have one?
Why Classic+ when you have TBC?
Well TBC just continues the same old trend of making the previous content obsolete Azeroth is pointless in TBC, I think TBC was a massive mistake when it comes to this. If you look at the upcoming MMORPG Ashes of Creation they have apparently come up with a design that corrects this mistake by always having old content be relevant in some way.
stat squish. naxx gear would still have the edge, but at least there wouldnāt be any warriors 2shotting everyting and rogues destroying people within only cheap shot.
make mc,bwl,aq40 20man raids instead of 40man,zg and aq20 10man. answer is not always power creep.
because deserted zones. every single expac has proved that old content gets abandoned entirely. WoW classic is about Azeroth, not Outlands.
So how would you build upon Azeroth?
What would you do about the Lore? What zones do you want added?
What way would it turn?
What would you add to Classic+?
I vote for ideas, not implement them. Thatās the job of those I pay subscription to.
I think it would be interesting but I donāt see Blizz Vision putting any money/resources in it. The reason we got Classic was because they needed more subs and could do that with removing some rust from something they had 80% ready and capitalize it in years to come with TBC and WotLK which donāt even need to be de-rusted.
there are so many areas where you could easily put raid instance and it would fit.
azhara,winterspring,uldum for example
normally iād say āyes, give us classic+ā but i find myself concurring with what the 2nd post said; i donāt trust activision blizzard to not mess it up beyond repair.
Adding Mount Hyjal and Uldum plus adding that scrapped battleground in Azhara.
Edit. Also Karazan can be opened as a level 60 raid
