Classic WoW Review / Rant (Long Post)

And there you’ve made my point for me. You are the type who says: “If you don’t do it my way or agree with me then you should go to retail.”

As expected, you are the type described.

It will get better when tourists leave, layers are removed, economy matures and people level alts and generally take a more laid back approach to playing.

The problems you mentioned can be all summarised in one; players seem to be in a rush to hit 60. That’s the prevalent mentality at the moment.

The things you describe in your post were always happening it is just that now they are more prominent because:

1- there are still a lot of retail players and/or tourists that are not genuinely interested in Classic (even less to approach it differently). They are here baffled why all the fuss and to prove to themselves they really have no interest.

2- You are at the tail of the “Jones in the Fast Lane” bracket (btw old-timers may remember that game). Not that at my bracket (currently 25-35) everything is unicorns, rainbows and holding hands but I have experienced enough people going out of their way to help each other. Last night for example I done 4men BFD and after we finished party remained to help a guy do his dungeon quest. Then done a bit of world questing together (mostly chatting actually). BTW I’m not RPer but I rolled on the RPPVP server and that may have some influence on why our experiences differ.

I quit WoW after WoTLK and never even visited the forums after that. And this is the first post I ever made on blizzard forums, so I don’t know what you’re talking about.

I also communicate with people in-game, the problem I have is that many don’t communicate back, you would know that if you had read my post before commenting.

Well I certainly don’t hope they will be different - then I’d maybe have less of a good time! :stuck_out_tongue:
