This was a couple weeks before the Series S opened to pre-orders (oof, time flies, apparently my order was 11/09/2020), though I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that avoiding theft is indeed their motivation. Which is good cause controllers are more expensive than they deserve to be.

My CE arrived today as well, like the others only shipped within a a plastic bag, wrapped around the box was a bare minimum of bubblewrap, insufficient to provide any good means of protection during transport.
The corners are dented, not too bad, but it is something which could’ve been easily avoided with correct packaging. For comparision the Shadowlands Collector’s Edition was shipped well packaged and protected for less than a quarter of the shipping costs.
While I am aware it is not Blizzard who is responsible for the shop, they still have selected the company to run their official merch shop and to make matters somewhat worse, this year the only way to actually buy the Collector’s Edition was via that Gear Store, since no other shops got any to sell. So it should be in Blizzards own interest, to at least investigate the issue and contact the store’s provider in order to make sure something like that won’t happen again in the future.

they basically sent it in a package for clothing,… not a 130€ collectors box
yeah they see no damage on my pciture and tell me to wait 5-7 days as they escalated it
same situation here too, fortunately no apparent damage; however I suggest to be careful in removing the flyer attached to the back of the box with two points of sticky material
Same happened to me. Box is full of dents/bruises and the corners are just f*****. I’m furious about this. Who even packs these CE boxes like this?! Probably low paid workers somewhere in Spain who don’t give a flying f***. 0 quality control.
This is not the first time this happened with a Blizzard logistics partner. The previous one just thrown the Shadowlands CE box in a too large box which caused it to bounce around.This new logistiscs partner (Logisfashion in Spain) took a page from their book I guess.
I made a ticket and asked for replacement. My eye did spot however that the CE is now SOLD OUT on the Blizzard Gear store. Was it recalled, or is it indeed sold out?
I have a feeling Blizzard is going to be totally “Blizzard” and just offer a send back and get a refund option. Totally unacceptable.
I’ve been ordering CE’s for almost 20 years now from Dutch retails like BOL.COM and also even from Amazon. Never had any problems and they were all delivered in pristine condition. Ofcourse a proper seperate box with enough packing material.

I got tracking info from UPS now. Expected delivery is on thursday. Will see then if I was one of the lucky ones or not.

But this and many others including bent corners is not what I consider quality. Collector’s Edition means it’s a collector’s item. It’s in the ******* name for crying out loud. Treat it as such! Do they expect we throw the boxes away?

i usually only buy console games in physical copies tbh… and i do not buy very many console games.
I used the chat,… they didn’t see anything wrong with it and they promised to escalate it and will contanct me within 5-7 days via email

Mine is also arrived damaged and misprinted. It was from EU store and only bubble wrapped without any protective box. It’s a shame that Blizzard Gear sell such misprinted collector’s editions and ship without proper packaging. I already contacted customer support but they only escalated and told to wait.
