"Combat" addons gone in midnight end-game content

Neee neeeneee…uhu…me don’t need any addon…uhu…bluh bluh bluh…ohhh yeah sure mystical mythic mastermind over here…

Carrying all the noobs while sipping your invisible champagne…

I expected nothing else from Mr „solo Queue m+ will be the savior of WoW!“.

How is your campaign going?

I think this is a great way to revive the game, and make the whole community to collaborate more, awesome work.

I’m on my knees begging to the wall you’re not one of those 8/8 HC achieved wallet warriors but my gut tells me otherwise. You want to take peoples addons away now too? Why don’t you remove keybinds so everyone can experience your exceptional vision?

Check my FoS. 2 times CE should be enough to confidently say „you don’t need WAs for most mythic bosses“.

And I am pretty happy that they remove combat addons and simplify specs.

And suddenly a prophet of mythic wisdom…confident enough to tell everyone they don’t need WAs…enlighten us, O Mighty one…tell us we don’t need gear either…

Please keep in on topic. We don’t want this thread to derail like your soloq thread <3

I mean… some have the skill to overcome obstacles without gear and addons, for others it helps to have the extra gear and addons. It’s not rocket science.

Keeping us all in line while preaching from your 2 CE FoS throne. Steer the ship while it sinks, captain!

Someone has to keep the undead monk peasant in line.

I for one am curious for someone tell me how am I suppose to succesfully bait kicks and also notice the kicks under all 577 minions and 876 totems and warrior spinning bladestorms from which he can kick btw and dh doing fel rush animations over it all while also vw disc has his cloud over my warlock making “POU POU POU POU” sound continuously and warrior yelling “HIIIAAAAARRRGHHH” and 879 explosions and anime effects just went off, and I’m still trying to get my first cast off if I only knew whether they have used any of their kicks yet.

What i’m worried about are those that could hardly do it right, even with the addons.
There will definitly be social strains.

Probably won’t change much. They couldn’t do it with assistance, they definitely can’t do it without assistance. The result is the same.

Hopefully said players are aware of that…

I agree, if they remove addons entirely and alienate half the playerbase they can enjoy the fruits of net lower subs because the game isn’t attracting new players as the young kids who only play Roblox, Minecraft and COD don’t even know what Warcraft is.

Then we can let WoW die in peace.

The game should be baseline playable without addons without gimping yourself too much. I mean just try to play without a simple addon like GTFO, seriously I’ve been scared of pools on the ground thinking they’re dangerous… only for them to be trinket effects or abilities cast by friendly players that would ‘buff me’ if I stood in them… Because Blizzard thinks it’s a great idea to match trinket effect/pool colors with boss abilities…

Blizzard let addons become this behemoth where player abilities and encounters were adjusted and combined have too much bloat / complexity, where encounters at high levels simply require addons to be able to keep track of everything going on. This only worsens depending on your role in the raid, as a healer it’s even more of an issue.

Fewer abilities is always going to be a plus, on some classes there’s simply said far too many situational, filler and borderline useless abilities. For example on Windwalker/Mistweaver I dreaded having to use a filler ability like Chi Burst in the past even if it was ‘Free damage/healing’, I’m glad they’re removing that.

I doubt anybody expected themselves to become pro-players overnight after Midnight launch lol.

Blizzard expects you to have ears of cat , attention awareness of tiger and eyes of hawkes to ace content especially pvp

I like that they go their own dps meter and so on and try get rid loads of addons what you need get just play game. About those loads of passive talents you need setup i just hate it. I dont wanna spend time looking guides how those should go while i try just enjoy time in game

No, but that doesn’t change the fact that people need to get used to another interface. The default UI isn’t as stripped for functionality as some people seem to be set on. We are creatures of habit, after all.

I do hope they’ll implement timers as a functionality though. The current “timers” is a little too complex(by reading the order of things in the encounter, which is a bit of a “feel” thing. I will agree that is lacking. We have cast bars, so I don’t see why we can’t have timers too.) Obviously with the option of having timers disabled too, if wanted. The damage meter is also needed, but a lot of the mechanics for encounters are already signalised though various sources on the default screen.

Rotational stuff I can’t comment that much on atm, but this used to be quite okay too, though I did use WA during the learning phase as dps for a short period during Legion. After I got the muscle memory in, I learned to just read the default ui. We have a lot more obscure talents now tho, and I did read yesterday that they yet again will strip this down. Heard that before a few times. Usually don’t end up as planned.

The day they remove AllTheThings or Altoholic without an ingame replacement that is even better than those, I’m out.

What about people with disabilities? What about people with aspergers that will be forced into voice where they can no longer enjoy the endgame?
