Congrats Blizz you kinda messed up

Patch 3.3.0 actually

Oh, I didn’t know you could kill Lich King on day one.

Actually it’s 3.4.0.

But seriously, has blizzard actually said anywhere which patch it will be based on or just which features it will have?

I know they have said DK will be based on 3.3.5 balancing.

In the announcement + trailer, they said 3.3.0. And ICC etc was in 3.3.0 in original Wrath. You can see the old patch notes here. https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Patch_3.3.0#General
3.4.0 is their new numbering, like Classic was 1.13.

I just looked at the official trailer and it doesn’t mention the patch it’s based upon.

I can find unofficial stuff saying both 3.3.5 and 3.3.0. I can’t find the official announcement anywhere.

Eww, as I’m hard of hearing I’m so not going to listen through that self promoting *** once again to find this. And as they change their old postings and annoucement without explanation or anything I’m not going to search. I found it once, and opened the relevant patch notes - 3.3.0, and still have that tab open in my browser.

Looking at the 3.3.0 patch notes from 2010 are all well and good but it doesn’t have Blizzard saying Wrath Classic will be based on 3.x.x patch.

As I said I can find unofficial blogs saying which patch it is and they conflict with one another.

And as I said, I saw it officially, but have not the energy to listen / search for it once again. I don’t know who brought 3.3.5 into the mess - some [censored] at Blizz most probable, but it’s such a small patch, not doing anything ingame but adding Ruby Sanctum and battle tags (or some such) so the difference is the same. It’s not really worht spending time on - As far as I remember Ruby Sanctum will be later.

EDIT: Absolutely nothing has changed re DKs in 3.3.5 compared to 3.3.0 so one of these ‘don’t know what we’re doing or talking about’ once again

And wait till you found out they will boost HP in raids and dungeons
There is arcticle on wowhead about that

Hmmm…

Disliking GDKPs

Meanwhile you join GDKPs with a Glaive, almost BIS gear and 39 overall Sunwell logs.

With that gear you should peform alot better and you don’t have to join GDKPs anymore.

Donno what to say.

Everybody’s talking about RDF, but where is promised TBC armory?

Sniekia

Hey Ole Christian Specialist Game Master Sniekia here, hope the day’s treating you well so far. I appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us about your recent experience in game. I was able to look into a few things on my end and am happy to go over things a bit more with you. I checked into this further for you, and it looks like the free character migration to Gehennas has ended as of today. Unfortunately customer support is not able to bypass the migration being closed. However the server is still unlocked. Meaning it’s still possible to transfer there, but it would have to be done via normal methods. Thanks for reaching out today Ole Christian. Despite the situation at hand, Please do not hesitate to reach out to us down the road should any other problems crop up and we will do our best to get you sorted. Take care and have a great day.

You can keep an eye out on the forums even without an active subscription, so if free character transfers come up again you can get those done. Have a good day

You marked this ticket as Resolved. well…they dont want this game to live

I thoght you lot preferred classic due to the instant gratification of retail?
And now you lot want the same instant gratification of retail in classic?

You lot are weird

Now I’m not exactly a fan of these threads, but your post is completely incorrect.

Ninja looting in RDF? Eh? And if you’re referring to someone needing an item they cannot equip etc, then the simple solution is to just enable auto pass on items which cannot be equip. As for “ninja’ing” an item you can equip, exactly how?
It’s common community practice to enter a dungeon and only MS roll, but that’s not required and it’s not a rule. There’s plenty of dungeons I’ve joined on Classic, SoM, TBC & Wrath live that somebody needed an item for OS I needed for MS. This is not a RDF issue, it’s a person being a knob issue - and this issue will exist with or without RDF as it has since week 2 of vanilla.

There’s good reasons for RDF and good reasons for not doing it, but stop spreading nonsense.

For once I agree 100 % with Labneh!

Yeah, good luck making your own group if you aren’t a tank.
And if you played classic you know what tanks will start doing - request money for tanking.

The world has really corrupted your heart.
Im sorry.

Back than they just weren’t called GDKP’s and weren’t as popular but people have been selling raid loot for gold in WOTLK 100%.

The reasons why ninja-looting is so rampant in RDF is pretty straight forward and highly anticipated, I list them below.

  1. RDF groups are locked into “group loot” loot distribution from the get go, nobody can change it unlike in real party.
  2. RDF has cross-realm nature to shorten que time, and therefore people who you meet are likely total strangers to you, making community backlash non-existent.
  3. WotLK introduced Dual Spec that boosts incentive of you to posses multiple specs unlike classic/tbc.
  4. Best loot usually comes from last bosses, which makes ninja looting after finishing whole dungeon convinient.(meaning no only ninja got loot, he also didn’t burn CD and got full advantage of your escort)
  5. There are no class/spec balance upon group formation in RDF, making unpleasant and possibly toxic conditions for loot distribution. Examples like: bear tank, x2 rogue, x1 hunter - all 4 need agi.

I can go on and on on this, could easily list 10 more minor to major flaws of RDF system, and I find it ironic to be summoned on this matter by clearly retail player, you don’t know your history do you? The reason why Blizzard introduced PERSONAL loot system was partially motivated by rampant ninja looting back in the day.

  1. Group loot is fine? It’s what every dungeon group created manually runs with? I’ve never seen anyone running a master looted dungeon and nor has anyone else. Strange to note that, but fine, you clearly have no idea what you’re talking about.
  2. The backlash is non-existent on Firemaw for example, or other big realms. Nobody cares if you ninja in dungeons. It happens 24/7 on every big realms “X took my X for his OS, ignore him!!!” and yet nothing happens because people don’t care if someone took your blue dungeon item because the rules of dungeon grouping are not written. You can need/greed/pass whatever you want. It’s not a guild or organised run with a Discord and rules.
  3. Exactly. People can and will need items for OS in dungeons. It’s not ninja’ing. It’s needing an item for an upgrade that you will use. Unless the group globally agrees that they will pass OS items there’s nothing wrong with needing it, it happens hundreds of times per day.
  4. It’s not ninja looting because you cannot ninja something from a pug with no rules by rolling need on an item you want for an upgrade. Just don’t join RDF and make your own group with guildies/friends/randoms from your realm with rules/ML if you want to change how dungeons work. RDF doesn’t stop you doing that.
  5. Again, this is not an RDF issue. Without RDF people will be desperate to create a group if they’re undergeared and will take anyone rather than search for 4 hours - because every good player is gonna pre-inspect and determine if X player is geared as themselves to make a quick run (Which can be done with or without RDF).

Your points are just ridiculous.
