"Considering returning to PVP gear from WoD" - YES! DO THIS!

Great. They get PvP-PvE gearing right for the first time since Vanilla, and they start thinking of how to best ruin it again. Typical.

As long the ilvl gap between honor gear and conquest won’t be astronomical and if they do add this system then pvp is shaping up quite nicely.
Some class tuning along with this and I might return to retail.

But solo que would be nice too! ^^

These changes are great. The best part is with Valor coming + this it should really reduce the number of boosters at the lower brackets (0-1600)

Yes you can say glads will still boost people but a bunch of Russians running around with full 226 gear vs newly dinged people with 190-200, no amount of skill/outplaying is winning that fight. Specially with damage being so tuned up atm (WW, Boomkin, Mage, War, Ret, Spriest, Ele, etc) or on the healers side a 4-6K holy shock vs a 9-10k, health pools being 30K vs 40K, etc.

… And this thread is literally “YAY PVP SYSTEM WILL HAVE NO IMPACT ON PVE”. So you’re just spamposting for attention.

If they do implement this I hope its for all PvP content. If you wanna do BGs then a honor set isn’t that hard to obtain. If people can grab a basic honor set and not get stomped due to gear difference, I’d say that’s a pretty impactful change.

People might actually like PvP more if it feels like an equal playing field.

Hmmmm… people said YAY! when it was announced loot drops would be cut…afterwards, there was a lot less YAY!
So, we will see.

This will actually make even the skirmishes and the regular and epic battlegorunds more fun, as the fresh lvl 60 players will be able to get to the equal ilvl field really fast, thus removing the issue with teams having super undergeared people.

Yep, I would prefer to see two entirely seperate sets of kit, with a PVP specific stat…like in the old days. It’s part of the reason I’m suspicious that there is a catch to this.

Boosters are sweating profusely right now

:woman_facepalming: You don’t actually get this IS two separate kits? The resilience/pvp power meant that, say, your 207 ilvl is effectively providing EHP and EDPS equal to a 230 ilvl in pvp. The WoD system makes your 207 ilvl be 230 in pvp. It’s the damn same thing, jesus…

This will make PvP much more friendly for people who play alts. Can’t wait to try different classes. Right now its a nightmare to get geared alts.

Then you don’t need kit that boosts you from PVE, when in PVP…since you don’t need functionality in PVE at all.

At the moment is’ very hard to “get into” PvP to actually test it out.

Let’s say you hit 60, first order of business is to acquire the full honor set (158) which will take you over 5000 honour, that’s quite a few games.

During that experience you will be blown to bits in a second every time due to have just above 20k health and rubbish versa. It sells a bad experience! But you are a fresh ding, so, you know, what do you expect.

Okay so you have the full honour set! Things don’t change much, you’ll still have less than 20% versa, and probably close to 24k-25k with the full 158 set, players with 226 gear whom lurk in both random bgs and the entry brackets of pvp will still annihilate you in seconds.

So you need to grind grind grind grind for 197, and during this time you, personally, will have little-no impact on pvp yourself, not get a clear idea of what it’s about given a chipmunk in 226 gear would be able to stomp you in a few abilities when rocking the below 197 set.

Okay, so you have the 197 set, wohoo!!! The issue is you’re still faced with regular occurances of being out-geared by about 29 ilevels due to the current situation in rated pvp, so 1 in 2 arena games you get no real idea of “what you’re capable of” because a guy with 50% more health than you who can delete half your health in a single swing comes at you. You can read the guides and whatnot, but they don’t really help when jhonnymcglad deletes you in 2 sec when the guide is talking about setting him up for a kite. How? You’re dead shortly after he engages, no hamstring required!

It’s only around 1.8k you will regularly experience fights versus people with similar gear to you, if you can get there. This is a heck of a lot of effort for people to start experiencing pvp fights on a somewhat even keel for the first time.

This change would massively reduce the impact of said gap, and massively dissaude boosting in pvp by making the pvp gains minimal (10 ilevel advantage) and the pve gains dismal (207 ilevel ain’t all that and there’s no need to arena boost as conquest gear will have 207 baseline which doesn’t require arena to even get, it just means you get it quicker)

tf are you trying to say now? Make sense please.

Why do you want hybrid gear in one set?.. bag space is no longer an issue, so why not have two entirely separate sets of gear like in WotLK, with stats that are trash in PVE?

What does hybrid gear mean?

PvP players who are advocating-supporting this change are naive. I am out if this change goes live. For the first time I really enjoyed an expansion-patch, they are considering ruining it right away.

1300 gods think that this will make any difference to their fate, this change is for catering to PvE players, not to you.

If you weren’t so bad at PvP you would be at least 1.8 and over 220 iLvL until now. If you are low rating currently, you will remain low rating most likely.

Why do I see quoted posts from Vulpie, I ignored him yesterday, he is the one and only person in my ignore list and I use forum probably since 8.1, which means 2 years.

I demand a fix, quotes from ignored person must be seen as “View Hidden Message” Just like original ones.

Vulpie, honestly. There will be “two entirely separate sets of gear”. One for PVE, another for PVP. Where the hell do you get the idea that there will be one “hybrid set”??? We have that now. It’s bad. The change is about, well, changing that.

this sounds interesting i guess?

Hybrid: Kit that is ilvl197 in PVE and rises to ilvl220 when you PVP…that was not how it worked in WotLK.
