Considering Some Semi-weekly World Quests Becoming Daily

I am very happy you reconsidered. There are plenty of things to do on a daily basis (hunt rares, Cobalt Assembly and Obsidian Citadel grinds) and being able to take a break from WQs is nice. If people feel the Renown gains are slow then increasing the reward from the weekly accord quest might be a better idea.

Again - you don’t have to either.
They could add 30 more weekly quests. Then you can do 6-9 a day and feel like you have a reason to log in. Meanwhile the rest of us can clear them in a day. Why are you so adamant about having to do stuff every. single. day?

No, there are not.

That’s not the issue AT ALL. Not even close.
There’s no hurry in getting renown. It’s not going anywhere.

It’s about having something fun and worthwhile to do in world content on a daily basis.
Something to work towards.

THAT is lacking because almost everything is weekly or bi-weekly.

So you’re actually the one that can’t “pace yourself”. Just as much as the people who want to do them all.

Spread out clearling the bi-weekly quests (hope they add more) and do a few each day. There’s your solution. Then relax, do other stuff.

Yeah, Good ‘gameplay’…

Meanwhile I only sat in the air if I actually had to brb instead of camp for a rare that has a longer then 15 minute respawn timer.

You also really dont have to travel to towns…

So you’re saying it’s okay that I don’t have content to do?
Right?

That it’s okay that I can’t log in daily and have stuff to do?
Right?

How about we remove raids every other week. Spend a week without a raid and go do something else. Good idea?

Let’s do that as well for M+ and for PvP. Let’s not let players do that content. So they can do something else. Because apparently that is fine.

Good idea?!

That’s… exactly my point.
If there are 50 weekly quests, people can decide if and when to do them.
If there are, instead, 7 daily quests each day (49 quests in a week) people cannot decide if when to do them. They have to do them every day if they chose to do them.

ah  Tahra the gnome hunter complainer is back  I missed her.

Have you read what I wrote to you? does it look lack of content? :face_with_raised_eyebrow: (or you specifically tried to ignore it to keep complaining?)

I like doing pvp, its the content I enjoy. I demand that everyone should do 5 rated solo shuffles daily in order to get a 1000 rep token. Oh but dw you don’t HAVE to do it, you’ll just be behind

That’s their logic effectively.

Look mate. I have nothing else to do realistically this week either. You know mythic dungeons are on a weekly lockout? I’ve done all 8.
But I’m fine with it, I can chill out the rest of the reset and look forward to the next. You should try chilling out, you seem agitated tbh.

That’s not what should happen.
There should be 50 daily quests EVERY DAY in that case.

How about this: Have several bi-weekly world quests available that reward major renown. And then have loads of ‘little’ daily WQs be around that reward almost no renown - maybe 5 rep. But let them have some other rewards; the regular WQ stuff.

Would that be okay?
Then the bi-weekly WQs can be done and the ‘small WQs’ can be ignored.
The bi-weekly WQs could be marked a bit bigger to make it clear they’re the important ones.

If they literally give next to no reward - no gold, no rep, no items, sure. But I’m not sure you’ll get any other reasonable human beings on board for that idea. Even Ion said next to no one does content that offers no reward.

It really just seems like you’re defending a stance you had initially just for the sake of it now. Even though it no longer makes sense.

You want world content - everyone in the world agrees they should add plenty more of it. And most people agree it should be free term to do when and if you please.

But because you specifically can’t pace yourself and take a day off from WoW once in a while, you need something oddly specific to do every single day - eg. world quests in this case. Your arguments are in shambles tbh.

and? i don’t do pvp so i miss out on pvp rewards, i’m fine with that.
I don’t do raids so i don’t get raid gear, i’m fine with that too.
I want to do world content, not 5 wq’s that reset weekly…ffs…
Just because you HAVE TO HAVE every bit of rep available doesn’t mean we shouldn’t get something to do…

That’s fair, I love playing WoW. So do you I’m 100% sure.
I would love for them to add 200 hours of more world content, I just don’t want it to be on a timer. There’s plenty of that in game already.

Well, that was a quick U-turn. I guess this thread falls under trolling and breaks the forum’s CoC: “Creating threads for the sole purpose of causing unrest on the forums.”

Exactly. Add more stuff to do weekly and people can do it over the week or in bulk, whatever they please.

Which is why I said I’d be happy to see more world quests in general :smile_cat:

What I don’t want is daily world quests with a 24 hour timer, because those require you to log in every day or forever miss them. It’s not particularly a big deal when they aren’t tied to things such as legendary crafting or socket farming, but there are profession items behind rep and I can understand why many players don’t want to fall behind on those.

Weekly world quests are great because you can choose to do them in one long sesh, or a few a day - although this does require more than there are right now. A smart design here would have 7 day timers on daily release quests, and not care about the weekly reset.

Currencies (or reps) with weekly sliding caps (e.g. valor) and infinite farming are also great, because if you come in late on an alt you can take a week’s holiday time and power through it to catch up. There’s some of these for rep already, but I hope they do a better iteration of valor and take off the ilvl cap - or at least revert it so you only need M+ achievements on one character.

TLDR, it is possible to make a situation where everyone is fairly happy, but it doesn’t involve 24 hour world quests :smile_cat:
