As above, the rate of content release far too fast, at this pace the classic experience will be over too soon. Not to mention that there is still 90% of raiders without full gear. It’s not like people have in any shape or form exhausted the content.
Phase 2 just came out last week, and Blizzard is already planning to release half of phase 3 before next year which is ridiculous. At this rate we’ll have phase 6 by the end of next year. Most of us don’t even have a single epic from MC/Onyxia.
I agree. This is ridiculous. Not to mention they destroyed their own release plan so that proove we can’t trust Blizzard anymore (dire maul with phase 1.5 and bg with phase 2.5 are not in the initial plan). What’s the next change ? They will release AQ before ZG ? They will release ZG in a phase 3.5 ? Open migration and faction change in phase 3 ? It’s just ridiculous haha.
Burning Crusade will be a fiasco with 10x less players than Classic because Blizzard can’t stay with his own plan so that only proove we can’t trust them, and now we know that, we will not do the same misstake, we will not commit into a trap. Nobody want to play with a compagny that say X and do Y.
Blizzard did the same misstake like 15 years ago : listening the crybaby streamer and the forum poster who represent nobody except them, when 99% of the community just enjoy the game. To many World PvP crybaby, so now the only solution they found is to release Battlegrounds super fast, instead of staying strong and stick with the original plan.
Have fun with your dead profit Blizzard, you did it wrong, you destroyed your own game like you did with Retail . Fun to see the “[Insert Game] killed WoW” is now “Blizzard killed WoW by himself” haha. And yes, I’m playing WoW Classic, because I love this game, I love what your old developpers did, but I will never come into a TBC or a Classic + trap, unless you apologize and do a massive deep explain about why you changed everything after the release. We don’t trust you anymore.
From a PvE perspective those raiders log in once per week on average. PvP side pushed a lot of people out in the zones which is a problem for most realms as on most factions aren’t balanced in terms of population.
When content progression finishes the realm is still there and you still can play. Or you can reroll on a FRESH p1 ream if they release some after some time after naxx. Vanilla lasted around 2h and Classic will have similar progression. Next Blizzcon we may already have Naxx and they announcing TBC/FRESH for 2021.
People that want to play TBC will play it and nobody will pay attention to your moaning.
Then don’t play. It’s their property they can do whatever they see fit.
You aren’t 99%, you are the 1%. If PvP realms got open world zones and flights paths camped hard they noticed that it’s a problem and decided to add BGs. That way some players instead of camping FP or other things in open world will be in BG queue. The other option is to not allow to player by players of the excess faction
There were no streamers back then and TBC announcement undercutting Naxx wasn’t even what forums were “requesting” or knowing about.
BGs are repeatable content and unlike Raids can be played until forever and still mean something. BGs ingame are healthy for activity, and shouldnt be seen as a sign of rush but rather a solution to endgame bottlenecks.
I was saying this from the start with DM.
Once they gave in to 1 thing, it was already over.
Every phase will hit sooner than planned and certain aspects of those phases will hit even sooner.
I’m not really going at a hardcore pace but not that slow either and I feel like I don’t really have the time to settle in and get comfy because the next content is being pushed on us.
Sure i have my prebis items and some from MC but i’m still lacking situational items for certain builds.
I dunno, i’m just thinking out loud, i might just be on a delusional nostalgia trip.
I’m horde too, this isn’t a faction problem (aside from serious server unbalance ofc) content being out a bit earlier isnt changing anything. It is still a 15 year old museum game.
I understand where you’re coming from, but i’ve been really lucky with items so far when it comes to dungeons.
I don’t really play that much compared to the average raider.
I play other games and i still play retail.
The lifespan of these releases just feel so short.
Sounds like a lot of principled drama to me. Did DM or BG early release really cause any serious harm to the game, besides “you didn’t follow your release plan”? Plus, for all we know, Nov 12th for phase 2 and Early 2020 for phase 3 may have been decided as the launch dates for those phases long ago - rolling part of those phases earlier in no way pushes the entire schedule up.
As for phase 3 itself… is early 2020 really that soon? By then, we’ll have been raiding MC for 4-5 months at least. I’d say that’s enough to be ready for BWL. If the schedule was something like, say:
February 2020: Phase 3
May 2020: Phase 4
Aug 2020: Phase 5
[some more time passes here to give room for Shadowlands release and to give ppl time to farm AQ40]
early 2021: Phase 6
Summer 2021: TBC
would it really be an excessively fast schedule? And yes this is my prediction, feel free to quote me on that.
If you really think earlier releases of DM and BGs will cause BC to launch with one tenth of Classic’s original playerbase, well… I can’t wait to see your disappointment when you’re proven wrong^^
I agree completely, just ignore all the ridiculous complaining by forum-mongers. Blizzard made the right decision, this is a healthy call for the game, and it in no way signals anything for the future patches.
I blame all the tryhards who dinged 60 within the 1st week and started moaning on these forums that there was nothing for them to do.
Well, of course you had nothing else to do, sh*theads - you rushed the game for yourselves and imposed this pace to everyone else in the game.
Now we’re at the gates of phase 2.5 with less than 3 months since release with BWL coming “early 2020”. Just think about it, it’s just obnoxious. New players are still coming to the game ffs
